We are planning to set up a table dnd me and guindor plus a couple of friends. Its been at least 5 years since i last played dnd and that was 2nd edition (which i enjoyed the best). So at the moment i dont know what guindor fag (i love this guy although he pulled me back in daoc) will pick but he will certainly put me in troubles.

I am planning to roll a wizard. Now i need your help if anyone is familiar with dnd. I would love to specialize him but i dont want to miss any of the invocation/illusion/enchantment school, and i know nothing from 3rd edition. Also from little i have read i will prestige him as blood magus.

Any ideas, tips for me?

My best of DnD

1999 was our second story in DnD. we had a barbarian named bullrog. DM describes a monster with a horn of 1meter lenght on top of his had and we stand above it on a cliff.

DM:"what are you doing guys"

Arquest (ranger at that story): Taking out bow and start shooting
Nazarene (invocation wizard): Preparing a magic missile
Bullrog (barbarian):Taking out the 2handed bastard sword and ... Jumping from the cliff to put the sword in his neck..

.........Moment of silence by all players...............

DM (with his eyes wide open):is that your final moves guys?

All confirm.

As a result barbarian got pierced from a...s to head and remained on the horn of the monster until we killed it. (we got a huge loan of 10.000 gp to raise him)

More stories might follow.

Waiting for your replies and stories

Greetings

Never used to play DND (first edition LOOOONG time ago) but used to play palladium fantasy and rifts (both great rpgs)

IN rifts i had a bounty hunter mercenary called "The Red Death" :) anyways he had a few cybernetics however my matey said "hey ive got a new book want to give it ago" i said sure however like every single rpg since the dawn of time this new book had things that my poor merc couldnt possibly deal with so by the end of the adventure he had lost both arms both legs and most of his body :)

the rule of the story is dont play expansions with base line characters :D
