DMW 1 - Bristol nil

After crawling back in the hell hole of traffic that was the M25 last night. I have finally confirmed my place to start at UWE, Bristol next month.

Clearing saved me from a year of boredom and bar work, so instead im off for 4 years of drinking, slacking and debt (and bar work). Found somewhere to live as well, which is a bonus.

Am doing Business Studies, with a 1 year placement in the third year. Will most likely be able to convert the course to Business and Law (LLB) in the second year. So to all you fuckers in Bristol or the west country, god help you. And god help me, i hate farmers.


Now i just have to figure out how i'm going to get there with all my stuff. Hmm

you think you have problems moving stuff, I live in Qatar and the airlines have become anal about baggage allowance all of a sudden

I had to go into clearing as well, diddnt get the grades I needed Spent a day and a half of panic applying to any uni i could think of when all of a sudden I get accepted into Surrey university. Which has an even better rated politics course than the two others i had applied for (manchester and leeds), so I think i've come out of it extremley lucky.

All I have to do is get this clearing form thing into them, they said they'd hold the place till then but i'm still a bit dodgy about it all so I'm trying to get it all done ASAP (which is quite hard to do in Qatar)

Still, all things go well, Uni here i come!

I didn't even apply. I had little or no intention of going to uni in the near future. But having my carefully laid plans and ideas ripped apart in the last 3 months, sorta made me re-evaluate.

I think i need to dump this monitor and get a TFT that or dump this computer and get a laptop. Got 2 job offers sorted already and i am not even their yet.

edit: the academy is an awesome place to work, rly, if you are downstairs, you can see all the gigs (between serving ppl ofc ) fridays are shit, though.

im studying Psychology. i like it at UWE - mainly because of the great friends i've made - though the campus just seems like a larger version of my secondary school to me. but with bars
i live in bristol anyway, and im not gonna say how great the city is because im not a liar

I'm having to live in the city as well. As all places in halls were gone.

In a 10 bed monster of a house Big room and cheap cheap (By home standards). Can't wait.
