Not pleased, ordered this on Sunday night so it would arrive yesterday for me to play on a couple of days off... it's still not here

Thanks for the update - glad it's good :) I'm trying to finish Borderlands 2 so I can justify a purchase of this..

Though I also have XCom to play too :( Some time off work coming up and I'll be fairly housebound post-surgery so good times zo/

RE: the gaming mechanics.. What sort of weapons do you spend most of your time using ? I've seen a fair amount of gun-type action, but was hoping there'd be some decent close combat in there..
I mainly use xbow and sword .. the choice is yours how you want to take ppl out so you can slash your sneaky way to the end :)

Technically the FPS melee combat is "ok", the stealth actions however are awesome. Personally however I wouldn't choose melee as your main way to play the game. That said I wouldn't choose any single ability to finish the game with at all because the way I see it the best part of Dishonored is that you have so many tools and gadgets to play with; sticking to 1 thing would make it very monotonous. Especially since the AI reacts differently every time you'd be missing out on a lot of awesome moments :).

PS: Working on playthrough 3 :D

Getting some Arx Fatalis vibes from this game, superb. Gotta love Arkane studios.

Finally getting round to playing this.

It's great! Any game that keeps me on for 4 hours without a break of any kind has to be fantastic.

The only shame about the game is the plot. It's pretty shit, very functional but utterly uninvolving. Had it had an excellent plot this would be right up there with Deus Ex, it's the only thing missing really.

The story is pretty bad but picks up at the end...depending on your actions. I wont say too much though as it would spoil it.

Completed it for the first time last night.

The last level is INCREDIBLY easy to stealth. Couldn't have taken me more than 10 minutes to breach the fort, get up the lighthouse and finish the game. Which is a bit disappointing, was expecting it to be a bit harder and a bit less limp.

I got the low chaos ending as I was mostly stealthing and being nice. I'll be replaying it soon with a vicious very high chaos playthrough, there's so much combat etc. I didn't use that I need to play around with.

Knife of Dunwall DLC is out and is great.

Loads of gameplay in it. Already spent more time playing this DLC (not completed yet) than I did in the whole of Bioshock Infinite (completed).
