Ok from what i've been seeing over the past few weeks and the rather surprising lack of DF that we've had (and yes i am aware of why that is) but what i want to ask is this question, "Is midgard excalibur skint ( for those that don't know what that means it means poor, no cash, stony broke etc) ?

Discuss the reasons if you think it is with why and solutions or just reply with useless spam like we all do from time to time if you think it isn't :-

can make a fair bit of gold in rvr

dunno about other peeps , but im finding the farming in ToA and PoC more fun , ok not quite as much as DF but makes a nice change from that age ol grind we used to do in there. then agian if we had it back for a while i wouldnt be able to resist tbh

I get poorer and poorer for every day that passes by, althought I spend it on stuff that would be counted as impossible to get some months ago

Also imho, only a fool farm DF its in ToA and scrolls where the real money is.

that is assuming that other peeps have money and fyi df = insta cash, toa = long wait till someone decides they want your stuff or it's so overpriced it won't sell or only a gimp is prepared to buy which in my case doesn't. But then i am skint anyway because of the lack of metal etc to salvage

Im not skint for a change, made over 7p just leveling my 7 artifacts in 7 days (casual player mode here) on mobs in the frontiers.

Im no farmer, so 7p to me is a lot of dosh.

that's funny coming from a guy who's country is in bigger debt then our little spot on da map


this dutchy doesn't farm scrolls, doesnt farm df (would like to tho), got 1p of poc last 3 days leveling arti's

has 20p atm and spent 30p orso on his healer last 2 weeks

but then again i make Legendary weapons for 2-3p a piece and they sell pretty good.

real money is in farming scrolls and ml9 tho 10-15p for a Feathered Wrap cloak is nice

Mid/excal FYI is 1 of the most wealthy realms , that's the reason u pay 40p for GOV, 30p for mad tales 3, etc etc

i wish it was different, but aslong as ppl are prepared to pay toseprices, GoV isnt really an option for me.

actualy, the reason we DONT have DF is because most people have enough or get the cash easier elsewhere.

Right, so if everyone farm scrolls Midgard will be darn rich? As they salvage for loads!

Even though YOU can get rich on farming ML's, there wont come more money into the system. It will only change hands.

But if you farm DF you will create money, and Midgard will be wealthier!

The fact is that money is only changing hands and there's no real money coming into mid. Take a look at this for example, on monday i went looking for metal stock (and have been for some time in housing), only metal left for sale was some gimp selling 200 asterite bars at 1p per 200, like ehm yeah sure i am gonna buy that not. There are no raw materials coming into the realm to make any cash from at all and you should be bearing that in mind , not least for the rvr aspect.

Anyway the point is this, if there's no money coming in then you can't repair keeps and you can't expect crafters to craft for you because you are too busy gimping each others money and therefore this realm becomes locked in pve because you are all obsessed with each others cash as to opposed to making prices cheaper and making the realm a healthier force because you are all equipped faster.

At least when we had df there was a steady form of cash coming into the realm but now there appears to be none. So what i am trying to understand is when are you guys gonna wake up and finally decide that the realm itself is more important than ur wallets and when you are going to actually start getting money for the realm's sake as opposed to 'gratz m8tor, you took all his cash but want to spend nothing on the realm and plan on gimping it to kingdom come because cash is more important than arpees and keep repairs"

You need to start seeing the bigger picture that df, toa and rvr is interlocked and there's no escaping it, it is time you did.

well imo MG >> DF. With a guy in moderna and a leech you can get very rich. I'm not talking from own experience, but know some have got very rich by doing that.
I dunno if it still is like that, becouse i havent been ingame for a about 3 weeks now. WoW ftw

well moderna has always been a good source of money, but again like toa it's exclusive to a certain bunch of peeps and therefore not viable to the whole realm, indeed paying 45+ plat for some peeps just to even be there so again this has two sides to the coin. The realm must learn to farm as a realm to survive, else there's no money coming and we all end up skint from keep repairs etc and if there is ever to be a relic raid again from mid to whoever then ofc we will need cash to repair and upgrade and maintain.

No amount of toa cash exchanging or moderna farming will supplement that tbh.

well thats not entirely true, money doesnt come out of thin air, people need to farm money (seals) to sell to trinketers to sell to merchants to make gold, otherwise nobody would have the money to buy the scrolls.

Its very much like a mini food chain. seals>DFweapons>metal>hinges/boxes>plat>Scrolls/items. though with NF these days you can make a fortune if you rvr a lot.

Not really, before NF i would have agreed with you on this but now MG is so nerfed when it comes to slavage drops that DF wins without a doubt
