DirectX Rollback

Since I installed DirectX 8.1 I've been getting some bad texture corruption in Unreal Tournament with transparent surfaces and backdrops.

As for Black & White, thats unplayable, the whole thing is fucking corrupt, can barely see the island.

What I want to know, is it possible to rollback to a previous version of DX?

And no smart arse yes/no answers. If its possible, I'd appreciate you letting on HOW to do it

Depends on OS. 2K (& possibly XP?) won't rollback, 9X will.

I tried this a while ago, there is no 'offical' way that i could find, just programs that would attempt to do it for you

Strange that, coz I'm running the same as you and I got no probs with Direct X 8.1 at all. I'm not taking the piss but are you sure you downloaded the 2k specific version? UT runs sweet as a nut on mine, can't comment on B&W as I uninstalled it coz I wanted my social life back.
