Direct X 11 problem

I updated my direct X as I do everytime I install windows, but this time when it was doing its thing it complained of a corrupted cab file during installation and said it could not continue....however muggins here attempted to install again without looking at the error log file and it "finished" updating.

Now I have a messed up direct X install causing massive graphical corruption in games and no idea how to fix it as DirectX 11 is integrated into windows 7.

Any thoughts?

Have you tried installing DX9?
I always install DX9 too as for most games it's faster than having DX11 emulate the DX9 stuff...

Did that, thought that might fix the problem but it persisted.

Turns out it seems it was dodgey new drivers from Ati :/
