hmm - i wanna get a cam cuz i dunno what else to spend my money on, heh. anyway, i'll be using it mainly for quick snaps, but want it to be good enough when im taking err.. 'real' photos.

On the basis of the thread Summo points out earlier I finally bought the Fuji 204 yesterday. It's a doddle to use and seems to work well in all the lighting conditions I've tried it in so far. There are lots of different flash settings that should make evening shots turn out well. One setting even gives you a slow exposure so that the nighttime backdrop is visable as well as the subject. Also it was easy to figure out how it works in less than 10 minutes.
So I guess if the 202 is just a lower resolution version I would go for the it based on my 204 experience so far.

Clowneh, of the 3 you have there, if it was my decision I'd go for the Canon.

Digital camera image quality is about a lot more than just the number of megapixels, lens quality is just more important as with any type of camera.

When it comes down to it I know Canon 'cos they make good to excellent cameras, I know Fuji for making film mostly, and rebranding other peoples cameras, I know Casio for making dodgy watches. :rolleyes:

I chose a Nikon camera based on this and am already planning my next, another Nikon.

If you can afford a little bit more I would go for a digi camera with optical zoom - digital zooms don't tend to have as good picture quality.

I' myself have just bought a Cannon Ixus 330 and find it to be a most excellent purchase.
