That's the way some of your so called elite players may see it. I highly doubt that any of our "roleplayers" (I guess you could expand the group to casual players as well) would say that about him self or would say it the other way round.

Most roleplayers still have the advantage over the 1337 dudes though. They don't care that others try to offend them with that kind of stuff. It doesn't mean a thing (and that's good ).

I know several ppl who I would say are roleplayers who call the leet ppl better and I allso know alot of roleplayers/cashual players who take more offence than alot of leet ppl I know, including myself.

Don't think you can class roleplayers, cashual players nor leet dudes in specific categories. There's all sorts of ppl in all three.

'Real-life roleplayers' are the sub-division of the roleplaying community that go running about the woods dressed as orcs and stuff over at weekends.

Used to live with a few rl roleplayers and the basement was full of armour, robes, foam-padded swords, poleaxes, etc. Everytime anyone got pissed, the swords would come out and the furniture would get smashed up. Later on we'd have a barbeque with the furniture and have a laugh about it.

In anycase put a bunch of roleplayers in a room with a bunch of gaming geeks and don't really think an oursider could spot the difference, same demographic that does both afaik.

Agreed on the whole - and its good fun, i play a semi-contact system where brawling is allowed, and its great fun Havent been for ages now with work...
