Anyone know what is the difference between 35 pts of dex for shield blocking ?

I made a troll warrior but my role in the group is a block bot, having huge regret of not rolling a kobbie :kissit:

Thanks

If your fully buffed shouldnt be a problem. Don't regret your race just because a kobold is fotm. You have higher con and will hit harder compared. If unbuffed you will experience a tiny percentage less blocking ability but its the skill itself that counts over the dex.

Don't fret have fun.

As far as I know 300 (stat) is the cap for defensive abilities so you will only notice difference while unbuffed or debuffed. I used to have Norseman Warru which was the main reason I retired it (wanted Kobbie) - however, the mind of perfectionist (sp? :p) is weak, there was nothing wrong with the character *. Now I would go for Kobbie just for the looks, Troll would be better choise statwise, imo.

* Then I rolled a Highlander Armsman and yet again I retired it mainly due to race :p

kobbie better dex but all depends on what you want your char to be. RvR focused, blocking/parrying, means squat, youre never in a position to use em. PvE, kobbie fortehwin

Difference between a kobold and troll for shield blocks:

Kobold uses a shield for blocks, troll uses a kobold.

Bada-tsh!

*cough*

Is this guy on the whole week?

So a norse, dwarf and a troll walk into a bar....

It wouldn't mean a great difference really. Now you have the opportunity to alter your stat caps with special items as well.

Dexterity also affects your chance to hit with slam and the ammount of damage dealt.
