EZ is right though, most people wouldn't piss on her if she was on fire before but now that she has cancer everyone is falling over themselves to pay their respects to poor Jade Goody. Its rather indicative of today's society that a useless waste of space like her gets more coverage than people who (imo) are truly brave and who use their terrible illness for good such as Jane Tomlinson - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia who's legacy is still helping to fight cancer. Yes smear tests may well be up which can only be a good thing but its sad that she isn't doing more. Someone with her exposure should be fighting to raise awareness not just posing for a few tabloid newspaper shots showing off her bald head in the effort to generate even more personal wealth.
Lets not forget she is already loaded from all the other countless sob stories about poor Jade Goody, isn't it about time that she helped those that put her in that position by actively campaigning? I may even grow a little bit of respect for her if she did.

It takes a strong person, with a terminal illness to spend their last days campaigning. Would you do it? even if you were a celebrity? I very much doubt you would. As for generating more personal wealth, is that such a bad thing?? Its not as if the money is for her own personal gain because what can she do with it. Shes merley making sure her family is looked after when she dies. Afterall, its a huge misconception she is minted. There was an article in the paper a few months ago about her wealth and she is no where near as well off as people would believe.

Why is it that distinction so important to you? Not everyone is going to spend their time carefully looking deep into their emotions to get the terminology right. Some things should be taken at face value rather than being picked apart an examined and used to create yet another "Toh argument"

It's a horrible situation and I said all I plan to in the other thread. If her exposure saves a handful of normal folk from dying then its worth her doing it.

yes i did and i remember fighting a lot of guys on here for having a pop at her for being thick, fat and ugly. I remember arguing that someone shouldn't be judged because of their looks or because of their IQ level (hitler was supposedly quite bright).

I argued that you can e thick, fat and ugly but still be a good, nice person...this woman has proven herself to be niether in my opinion, in fact the more I saw of her the more I felt she was truely a horrible human being, now if anyone wanted to have a go at her for that they could be my guest.

and i could very well be wrong here but every single time I have seen her on TV its been because she's after something for herself, I have not once seen her campaigning for people with cancer or raising money for folk...i've heard a lot about how she's raising a lot of money for her kids (but tbh shouldn't she already have a lot of money from her media career?) but not once raising money for others...

which you don't have to do tbh you can be greedy (its a pleasure I myself enjoy occasionally) but don't disguise it as charity, actually all i have heard about her lately is that she wants her criminal fiancee to be let out past his curfew so she can shag him on their wedding night... would the home secretary allow that for all cancer sufferers or just the celebrities??

Oh and just to clarify, for those who fight so strongly for being able to say/do whatever they want....it goes for everyone. Look up that saying by voltaire eh?

If you don't agree, FINE, but don't start spewing "you're doing this and that again!" because frankly people doing it are as much to blame.

Especially since other people argue the same amount, if not more and with more hostility, then i do and noone seems to be bothered.

I consider someone quoting and replying to my post as a "hey i'd like to talk about this" and if it's done without insults and cop-out platitudes, it's a nice discussion.
