The point of my original post was that people hate when other people get rich&famous, mostly due to not being there themselves. Hating something famous also gives you the "belonging" feel. How much of that hate is "peer hate"?

Also you might be transferring some goody hatred into the discussion, which is understandable as such and i should take it into consideration.

EZ is right though, most people wouldn't piss on her if she was on fire before but now that she has cancer everyone is falling over themselves to pay their respects to poor Jade Goody. Its rather indicative of today's society that a useless waste of space like her gets more coverage than people who (imo) are truly brave and who use their terrible illness for good such as Jane Tomlinson - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia who's legacy is still helping to fight cancer. Yes smear tests may well be up which can only be a good thing but its sad that she isn't doing more. Someone with her exposure should be fighting to raise awareness not just posing for a few tabloid newspaper shots showing off her bald head in the effort to generate even more personal wealth.
Lets not forget she is already loaded from all the other countless sob stories about poor Jade Goody, isn't it about time that she helped those that put her in that position by actively campaigning? I may even grow a little bit of respect for her if she did.
