Motherboard is MSI KT3V, OS is XP, 4in1 Hyperion v4.51 from MSi website.

I chose Normal Installation but left everything as default and click Next all the way through until it asked for Windows to be restarted. Everything seems to be fine.

However, when i looked in Device Manager,

Under Device Manager, IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers, i have
Primary IDE Channel, Secondary IDE Channel and VIA Bus Master IDE Controller, all using Microsoft driver dated 01/07/2001.

Under Universal Serial Bus Controllers, i have
VIA Rev 5 or later USB Universal host controller 3 times, all using Microsoft driver dated 01/07/2001.

Under System devices, i have
VIA CPU to AGP Controller, using driver VIA 02/07/2003
VIA Standard PCI to ISA bridge, using driver VIA 16/08/2001
VIA Tech CPU to PCI Bridge, using driver Microsoft dated 01/07/2001

I think the AGP driver did install properly but what about the IDE driver? I have a feeling that it is broken somewhere.

Any advice?
TIA
