I'm sure I read somewhere about a quest that was introduced in a recent patch that gave you a reward that allowed you to bind to a location anywhere in 'PvE land' ie. not at a bindstone.

Did I imagine this or can someone confirm what/where the quest is?

Imagined it, I think. Only bind related quests I'm aware of are the three that give you stones to let you return to your personal house, guildhouse and house bind respectively, from any non frontier location.
