Not that I'd know about these things.

find where his downloaded files go and remove it from there? Try ad/remove programs?

Brynn - too much like hard work when you can get something to do it automagically. Also, these things are normally ActiveX controls that are installed without your permission.

And yeah Wij, I know they work because I cleaned up my flatmates PC and found several diallers. Thank goodness I have broadband and not a phone connection.

Comes highly recommended from me. Try surfing your favourite tgp site with IE, run Ad Aware, then try the same with Firebird.

Now laugh, and wonder why you have IE on your computer at all.

aye that's what happened to me usually but last night for some reason it downloaded and I sent it to the plugin directory in my firebird directory. And I could finally see the official bill bailey site in all it's wonder. :)

(going to see him in may \o/)

either tell the installer to install to

c:/dirs where firebird is/plugins/
(most cases samething like 'C:\Program Files\mozilla.org\MozillaFirebird\plugins'
instead of picking a browser from the list

or just copy NPSWF32.dll to that dir and make sure npnul32.dll is there aswell

Can't be arsed reading through the whole thread here - but people - MAKE SURE you set your security settings to ASK you before ActiveX can start installing sh1t to your PC.

It's a balance between security and useability - but it will save any of you numptys still on modems a fortune in phone bills to gyurana ;)
