DF this evening - Mid side

Hi there,

I just want to thank the Mids on their side - they really made it a funny end of our DF tour when you took over DF.
After killing a group of Mids coming up to Hib cambions (where we were just hanging around) we were looking for a challenge and came to your side then...I think this is a way of making the other realm work together for throwing us out which might also be fun for them AND us.

I was aware that we might have killed also 1 or 2 greycons (which we normally try to avoid), but when we came up from the Cambions there were huge amounts of Mids standing around and with that lag it is sometimes hard to avoid that. I do not see any challenge in killing greys, so I (and i guess I can speak for my guild in most parts) try to avoid it. Sorry for any little Kobi, Troll, Norseman or Dwarf we might have killed without really aiming at it..
I just had one chance throwing a kiss to a cute little Kobi sitting at the stairs before the lilispawn room - guess he was afk and didnt even notice the fight around him

And it was great how a huge load of RR1-4 Mids wiped us after we came down from the Rocots - besides the fact that all of us (including you I guess) had 1fps and a wonderful dia show *g* - you did a good job.

The only thing I found really....ehrm..disgusting...is people jumping and making /rude on dead people. I do not get angry or such, I just find it is bad behaviour when other people are showing a good fight.

P.S.: by the way, we are an average level of 46 and we are RR1 und RR2...but we are working on both things I really hope you had fun too..dying and then killing us

And yes, it was really funny to go for the mid-side of DF while mids have access to darkness falls.

Me(lvl 25 savage) and my bot(lvl 13) was xping near the mid entrance to DF, it was going very well untill this minstrel named Wikked showed up, and XP KILLED ME. But i must say his dmg was crap, he used 2 hits on my sitting unbuffed lvl 13 bot with crap armor, and he used the DF diamond thruster.

Then later an infil showed up(don´t remember name) and killed, first another savage who were next to me, and then me and my bot. I especially noticed that his weap threw some kind of dmg shield all the time.

But when some lvl 40+ guys came by me and rezzed, right after the infil had attacked, the infil didn´t attack them!

All i´m asking is:
Were u on a grey con hunt because that´s the only think u can manage? It´s ok if u kill a grey or 2 on a hunt for some on your own lvl, but stealthing around, killing greys on purpose is really wussy

Some people kill greycons for fun - they really like to imagine how angry you are behind your comp. Cannot understand this, but well..
Some people do it and say they want to attract higher con people by that - mhh also - why not look at the higher mob spots to find them ?
And the absolute rare exception is the roleplayer, saying: an enemy is an enemy - but I really have to admit....though I am roleplayer, I really cannot get the point in killing anything in sight...maybe it fulfills my assassins role..but then...I really do not like it.

Sure, DF is RvR zone, and I always expect someone to attack me. I have never seen a SB atack me while I was NOT having a mob to fight, which always makes me smile.

Well, the discussion about killing greys in DF will always be around. I refuse to kill them as long as they do not jump me - if somebody attacks me, he has lost his state of untouchable for me...and if I kill a grey by accident because he was among higher chars...I would call that collateral damage

So, go on expeing in DF, but be aware that for the great money and seals you have the danger of being killed by anyone passing...your choice - staying in safe homelands or running the risk.

well i´m not angry, i´m just surprised why they want to kill ppl and get like 1 rp from it. I always avoid greay con killing with my pally as much as possible, cause i get nothing out of it, else than making the player nagry, and why do u wanna make players angry? they play because it´s fun and they wanna have fun, no point in spoiling that for them. If you do that you have a very sick humor and shouldn´t be playing imo.

Thread was originally started to express how much fun my guild had in df and also the apology for eventually having killed some greycons while beeing in action....

Both players u adress are neither guildmembers nor they were fighting with us, so i don not see the point why u need to post it here....

With my Minstrel i have been killed while sitting to reg some endu or while fighting mobs any time time i have been in DF so far.

The thing most funny some weeks ago now were 2 lvl 50 sbs rr 6 and rr3 waiting for my group of 5 players beeing lvl 33,34 (yes we all were grey con to them) to pull 3 mobs orange, red and purple con and fight them until they decided to kill our healer first.... as a result i had an exp death. ( got a lvl 50 SB, too on my old server. So far i always tried to avoid killing greycons... only if they attacked me while fighting someone else i killed them afterwards)

But i guess there is no need to start to whine about that or even write their names in here....

If u don't like to be killed by an enemie while exping, don't go to DF, thats it.

If it isn't ok for u to kill grey cons in DF don't do it, like i do, too.

But don't expect others to follow your personal rules of conduct.

Mythic wouldn't have implemented that Dungeon if it wasn't allowed to kill grey cons while exping.

is a game afterall and 1 rp better than 0 rp afterall, a bit of a fight better than sitting waiting etc,

i however avoid greys as i share your opinions but i see with ease why some do kill on sight.

usually true for me too

Have to admit I one shot a few greys earlier today when logging on from behind mid portal They might only be worth one rp but theyre quite capable of interupting my casts at the yellow cons

Still .. 2 man group, 10 kills, just over 2k rps and the fun of seeing a zerg of around 20mids come screaming towards me just as i died. Causing a panic is half the fun tbh

I love grey gankers in DF. The thrill of the chase, sprinting through crowds of purple cons, whacking the instant heals and hoping to get off a /rude before leaping through the exit.

Obviously as a grey I don't get much RvR, so I'll take it whereever I can get it...

Don't like stealthers though, they don't let me run

Agreed - however the more people together the higher the chance of a random tosser doing this kind of thing - all realms have em tho I always have a go at any I see doing it - theres no shame in losing to 3/4 times your number.

I love rvr in df too - its great fun and seems more tactical than standard open field rvr
