Was wondering if anyone could tell me which item (hibernian) provides best returns for ebonwood salvage - purchased using emerald or sapphire seals. Thanks in advance for any help in this matter.

Found this post on the DAOC tradeskills forum on the subject, so reposting it here for future reference:

The actual best Diamond Seal item that returns Ebonwood is:
Infernal Malison Short Bow cost 19 Dia. seals, gets 295 Ebonwood (14.5885g / seal)

For Sapphire Seal item that returns Ebonwood is:
Accursed Demon Staff of Mind cost 25 Sapp. Seals, gets 130 Ebonwood (4.8859g / seal)

For Emerald Seal item that returns Ebonwood is:
Avernal Maligned Staff of Mana cost 30 Emer. Seals, gets 47 Ebonwood (1.4720g / seal)

I never really saw the interest of salvaging wood items from DF before but this thread points out a useful strategy that I had never thought of: carry a few of those staves around during keep raids instead of big stacks of wood. When you need to start repairing or upgrading doors, salvage the staves as needed for big heavy piles of high-grade wood.
