TV Dexter Season 5

I've liked it a lot so far, following last season was never going to be easy, but they've heated up to boiling point well.

The main story isn't as big, but the side stories are given more room, and I agree that Lumen is a really good character.

Dexter, Boardwalk Empire and The Walking Dead, all in one sitting. Tv is good to me atm

Enjoying this season so far, slow but i like the pacing. Feels like it will culminate in a grand finale.

This season is much better than s2/s3 imo ( really had issues with a lot of the characters/plot development ).

Great episode, glad to see his family have not been shipped off and forgotten, and the sub plot with his sister and Quinn is shaping up to be decent as well.

Strong episode of Dexter, this season is going out with a bang for sure.

Chase surely is a warped individual.

I really really really hope Lumen doesn't die, the expansion from just Dex to dexter+lumen ( a non-**** ) in place of rita would be so much better. Plus Dexter needs to start going in new directions to avoid going stale.

Also +1 on awesome episode, the finale is going to be great.

Me too, it is set up for her to take a fall, but I hope not.

Is it penned for another series? I could imagine Dexter taking the fall here for Lumen possibly.

I also hope Quinn doesn't get the knife - in a perfect world he'd see Dexter for what he is but let him go.

They are either going to have to kill that ex-cop or lumen or dexter or lumen & dexter are going to get shopped. He's got shitloads of evidence already - PLENTY for a very invasive investigation and search warrants all round. Dex's life wouldnt stand up to police scrutiny imo.

/edit - it's obvious. Quinn is going to kill him and discover dexter in some mutual fuckup so that they have to keep each other's secret!

Save that for next season though, I agree with Chilly. Quinn loves Deb, I think he'd protect Dexter to protect her.

Then next season we can have him fighting with his conscience, and Deb finding out anyway.

They've dodged a load of the speculation we had here with how Liddy went out. Although it's still possible something will turn up that prods Quinn into making the connection. Until Dexter was out of the van and running off I was just waiting for Quinn to come back and find him.

My dl had the previews for next week, it seems like the blood that dripped onto quinns shoe might get him locked up for the murder of liddy - the rest of the previews I think are setup to make you think deb finds out about dex - but I'm pretty sure they're just screwing with us.

Good emotional ending, so nearly a happy one for dexter. Glad Quinn is still around, I suppose they did the best thing with Lumen in the end.

Giv season 6 already!

I enjoyed it - trying to top last seasons ending would have been impossible, some character development for deb as well.

There were a FEW plotholes though. Where did dexters overturned car go? and who's was it? How did deb find the camp? No mention of Emily Birch whatsoever?

Enjoyed it also but also couldn't help notice the gaping plot holes and felt they rushed the ending to revert back to normality. Have to admit i was king of hoping the bomb would finally be dropped

How did Dexter faking the blood work get Quinn off? He'd still be supect #1. The car also, would be full of evidence pointing at Dex. Deb found the camp because supposedly the only thing a long that main road was the camp? Also seems a bit unlikely Deb would just let the two vigilantes go on a hunch.
Was anyone else waiting for his family to be upset that he disappeared all day after they came to visit? I don't know why i cared about that bit.

Ah well, still enjoyed the series! Next season should be interesting as Quinn knows, I wonder how they'll run with that while not repeating the Doakes storyline
