Dex=Block and parry.
Qui=You hit faster.

You need both.

full dex for better blocking
quick for hitting more often with your weapon, not necessary to cap it imo tho better cap resists

How does quickness relate to the damage you do? OK so with high quickness you're going to hit faster, but your weapon output is reduced. Presumably this is the same as having a jambiya as opposed to a sabre. Or is it? I'm a little confused tbh :rolleyes:

you hit faster but yes will do less damage per swing (damage is DPS x SPD of weapon) but swinging faster is better against bladeturn

Now how does Dex & Qui affect casters then? My secondary stat is dex and tertiary = quickness, now casters (sorcerer for example) cant parry/block/evade and swinging with my staff is useless too :p So IMO dex/qui is useless for a caster, or am I totally wrong here? (yes stupid question, I know I'm totally wrong but what does dex/qui do on casters then?)

Always have a decent bit of Qui, although your damage output is reduced, your weapon speed is decreased in proportion, this means that you will do more damage over time effectively.

Dexterity on casters decreases casting time for spells, down to a limit of 2 seconds (although 1.5 seconds appears to be the shortest casting time).

Quickness does, ehm, exactly feck all for casters, unless of course you feel like staffkillling people instead of nooking :|

ok, so can also someone explain me how this casting time is calculated? Lets say, if a spell has a standard casting time of 2.5secs, how can I find out what time it will cost if I have (lets say for example) 120 Dex on my caster atm?
