Dex and cast Speed

I got 2.8 sec casting time spells, how much dex would I need to drop the cast speed to 2 sec?

Mythic's answer to a similar question in January:

A: From the spell designer: "Dex affects cast time for everyone. Minimum cast time is 2 seconds, so if you're already hitting that mark you won't see a difference. The difference between 75 Dex and 178 Dex looks like about a 15% reduction, so on a 3 second spell your cast time should have shaved off half a second."

So hes right - alot

I did read a formula somewhere but can not find it, I know that dex 80 will give you a base casting speed (as is mentioned on the spell). After that it was a fixed amount for each sec. Just not sure how much. (and yes I know its a lot, but I know I am getting close to it.... Need to figure out if Aug Dex is going to do the trick or I should skip it).

if u want 1.5 second casts get a buffbot and make sure you have 300 dex buffed.

î am not even sure if 1.5s is the actual cap
seen test results with overcapping (tests for the original 1.61 patch) which allowed cast times close to 1s

anyway as it is now you can easily get below 2s with decent dex and MotA

There is no hardcap for casting speed, the more dex the faster u cast, the more motart the faster etc..

Forumla is CT = BT * (1- (dex-60)/600)
So for 2s on a 3s spell you need 260 dex assuming no MotA.
