More importantly, how close is it to the original game?

It's delivery is very similar, but the mechanics not so much. I loved the original to bits, and DXHR is definitely up there with one of my fave games I've played in many many years. Go get it. On the PC!

It is a lot better than 2. Not quite as good as 1. But it handles well. Def different ways of approaching the situations. Stealth, shooting etc. You can see in the hacking mini game etc that consoles where thought of. At least there's different ammo for different weapons , think that wasn't in the second one. Haven't got into the aug, lvling system yet. But so far so pretty and good.

Bought an xcoxthreehundredandsixty to play this on (and Skyrim :p). Yes, it's not as good as a PC but I can't be arsed and don't have space any more for a computer.

I heard they took most of the character customization's away when it comes to implants and stuff.

What i liked the most about the original was just that, so i think i'l give this a pass...

I disagree as you can still build a number of characters depending on what you want to do.

Your missing out.

Its a great game. Whilst it will never beat Deus Ex. It feels like a DE game and all the little details they have added, make it a fantastic game to play through, from including nods to the first game to the detail of the world. The Aug system whilst not as advanced as DE it works well and gives you plenty of options on your style of play. The only problem I saw was the energy system for preforming certain actions. Though if it wasn't there, it may have made the game too easy.

Well worth a day one purchase.

Nah, you still have a lot of augment choice. The augmentations fall into one of 4 categories:
Combat - Multiple take downs, Typhoon (point blank aoe), damage resistance, recoil reducer, crosshair reduction
Sneaky sneaky - cloaking, silent running, tag guards, guard field of vision etc
Hacking - lower chance of detection, turret / bot control, node analysis
Utility - jump higher, re-breather (underwater breathing, immunity to poison gas, longer sprint times), no fall damage, punch through walls, more inventory space, see through walls, immunity to flash bangs

You can mix and match, but you'll always be going "wish I had 1 more augmentation point).

Didn't they just, but the game and i am near the end has been nothing short of awesome and the story is actually good too.

Also the sheer amount of detail in the world is amazing they really went that extra mile to create a world.

As soon as i've finished it i will begin another play through the game something i haven't done for a very long time.

Finished it last night, great game my only complaint is the bosses both fraustrating and rather pointless to the story if I'm honest. A definate buy for sure.

Heard the same about the bosses in every review I read. Shame. Still, seemed like a worthy successor to a brilliant game (unlike IW) for the first hour or so I played. Looking forward to finding the time for more.

Of course the PC is the best platform to get it on. It will be that way until the PS4/Xbox720, and still will probably be even then.

Just completed it, WANT MOAR! Although they should make the boss battles a bit like the last one, so there's a sneaky way to complete it without it turning into a run & gun.
