Determination, how does it work?

Ok here goes.

For example sorc mezz is body.

I have Determination 4 + storcism + 26% resists

Which adds up to 37+25+26 =88% crowd control reduction.

questions as follow
1 Do the support class resist buffs add to crowd control reduction ie if u have yellow buff think would be another 16%
2 If the enermy sorc for example has for example a 20% in spell duration. Say his mezz of 52 seconds becomes 62 seconds with the toa abilities. Does this mean my cc reduction would be 62 secs - 88% = about 7 seconds
3 is there a cap to the Determination % you can get. for example i could get Determination 5, which gives me a reduction of 88% + another 28% = effective 116% goes with out saying you cannot have a % over 100.

Hope anyone can help or maybe put me in touch with a link with testing Determination results

I think it may be multipliactive meaning the maths are something like

60 second mezz - 55% det 5 = xx seconds - 25% stoisism = yy seconds

i have no idea in which order it goes or how everything works but your 116% does not make sense.

Can anyone with more knowledge shed some light? is it worked out Multipliactive?

Q: I was wondering - since determination 5 for armsmen is 55%, and armsmen have a natural 25% resist to CC, what happens when resists take CC resist to 100% or greater?

A: This is one for Code Ed, and he replied: "While Stoicism and Determination are additive with respect to each other, they are multiplicative with respect to the rest of the duration determining factors. Therefore, it isn't possible to get the CC duration reduction to 100%."

Ok did a bit more research and found this=
Det5 + Stoicism + 26% item resists + 16% casted resists =>

Formula: [(1-(.55+.25)) x (1-(.26+.16))] x (70 seconds) = 8 seconds

But I calculate determintion 5 as 65% (4+4+12+17+28)
So taking this calcualtion to a det 5 stocism tank with 26% resits and a 16% buff for example

1- (.65+.25) x 1- (.26+.16)
0.10 x 0.58 =0.06

ie 70 sec mezz = 70x0.06 = 4.2 secs

Please let me me know if anyone knows different

i've seen a Det 5 tank get stunned and he stopped for about 1 second, it may have been less or more but it just looked like he lagged for a second.

ok, maybe it was lag but he had det5 and was hard to keep under control from CC

i always thought that casted resists (as well as AoM) do not count when it comes to cc duration

so only determination+item resists+stoicism count for calculating cc duration

Casted resists do work, AoM/BAOD does not. Example:

You have 50%/10% body resists ---> the 50% body works fine, the 10% secondary resists do not count in here.

70 sec * / (1(-0.55+0.25)*(1-0.26-0.24+0.10)*(drop off modifier))

there you have it

a sorc with 10% resist peirce and no duration bonus mezzing you, on a det 5 stoctism tank with 26% resist and red casted resist
