I feel it would be nice to announce that as of next Saturday (27th) I shall be married to my gorgeous fiance.
Had the stag party last night, I've only just finished cleaning up the aftermath - my future father in law decided it would be a great idea for everyone to pile back to my flat and indulge in a chicken curry. As nice as it was (i think) it didn't stay down too long uke:

This is probably also the biggest reason I haven't been around all that often for the last couple of months - organisation isn't a strong point and Ive been forced at gunpoint to get it all sorted

Pay good heed to my own tale of spelling woe and indignity.

I went to buy my engaged other half a Valentine's card a few years ago, and picked out a nice one. The person serving gave me an odd look and I thought nothing more until my other half laughed when she opened it.

"Happy Valentine's Day Fiancé" it read.

It was then I learned that males are fiancés and females are fiancées. My mind flashed back to the card shop and I haven't been back since.

Babs : Yes, I was aware of this thanks - i think this was just laziness - with the hangover i still have, i couldn't be bothered to find the AltGR key.

However, the reason I know this is exactly the same as yours a couple of years ago The trouble is, I've always been the bloke that buys everyone funny cards, with silly/rude/crude jokes in. Being involved with someone meant I thought I should try and get into the "nice" or "cute" card market - generally things with flowers and/or teddy bears on the front.
Never made the same mistake again after having the piss ripped out of me by my fiancé and father in law
