desktop video cards!

Been out of it for a bit, and living in mexico atm, so not very easy to find out whats what in video card land.

could you post your top 3 or even top 5 best video cards for desktop pc toward gaming, so i can ask around localy whats available or not, price is not realy a topic.

In a price/performance category, PCI Express only:

1. 8800GT
2. 8800GTS 512mb
3. 9600GT
4. 8800GTX 768mb (as prices are dropping. This is probably a slightly better bet than the above on very large screens)
5. ATI HD3870.

In the AGP stakes, the only car worth looking at is the ATI X1950. And you know it's looking bad when Kryt recommends an ATI card
