So i was in the pub earlier with some matez0rs and we were playing desert islands discs. 5 CD albums you would have if you were stranded on a desert island, couldn't listen to 'owt again ever.

My choices were

Bjork - Homegenic
Specials - Specials
Bob Dylan - The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan
The Libertines - Up The Bracket
Jimi Hendrix Experience - Are you experienced?

And yours...?

hmmm tough call

atm I'd say:
Interpol: Antics
Jimi Hendrix Experience - Are you experienced?
Jeff Buckley: live at Siné
Radiohead: OK Computer
and I can never think of a fifth slot in these games :/

My choices:

Morcheeba - Big Calm
The Levellers - Levelling The Land
Nirvana - Nevermind
RHCP - Blood Sugar Sex Magik
Phil Collins - Greatest Hits (1998)

Desert Island Discs originally said 8 pieces of music, so we'd all be buggered. Lamp would be sodded even more as movements etc. would definitely be separate. But as the topic was 5 albums, these are mine.

I might well exchange Oasis for Jimmy Eat World - Bleed American though :)

hmmmm

gotta have some Floyd for starters:

Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon

and I'm not going anywhere without my favourite songstress:

PJ Harvey - Stories from the City, Stories from the Sea
PJ Harvey - Uh Huh Her

and then to finish off

Public Enemy - It takes a nation of millions to hold us back
Beastie Boys - Il Communication

for a bit of variety :)

that'd be me happy

Been trying to come up with a list myslef but my problem is i tend to like individual songs rather than artists in genral and its a rare artist who has more than 3 or 4 songs i like...having said that i tried on the basis of albums that have the highest quiantity of songs i like

Oasis-Whats the story Morning glory
Tupac-I want to say greatest hits but if that aint allowed All eyes on me.
U2-Joshua Tree
Bob Marley-Legend
Eminem-The eminem show.

This is a really hard one to come up with, but.....

Oasis - Definitely Maybe
Radiohead - The Bends
The Stone Roses - The Stone Roses
Elbow - Cast of Thousands
The Jam - Dig The New Breed

and if we are allowed 8, then.....

Bluetones - Expecting to Fly
The Beatles - Sgt Pepper
Dire Straits - Making Movies

That could probably change if you asked me next week, apart from Elbow and Dire Straits

probably 5 Pink Floyd Albums.
If i picked 5 different artists i would miss out on too many other artists and go crazy, however Pink Floyd can and will keep me sane on an island!
