This guy is a real gem, I've watched a load of his videos over the past year. He is really *really* for being able to just fix something yourself and really *really* against proprietary Apple bullshit and their habits of making everything deliberately difficult/expensive to fix.

I actually watched the entire thing, found him really interesting even if it a product I wouldn't buy in a million years.

Also, wait, what? The new one is actually worse (in every possible sense) than the last one but costs more?! They are just playing with fools now.

Dell are getting a bit guilty of this as well, having stripped the VGA Port off most of the Latitudes in favour of a mini-DP adapter. Makes sense, except that the Latitudes are their business line. And no one uses VGA any more right?

Well except 80% of boardroom projectors......

I know, right? I have a mini-DP to HDMI/DVI/DP and a mini-DP to VGA adapter that I lug about with me because of that.

We got rid of all that with a USB share point system and it actually works really well. Plug the USB dongle in, press a button on it and bang, you have screen sharing with a large screen.

Not USB-C though...still need an adapter.
