Read this one in some mag, I think it was FHM,some guy playing football dislocated his hip,the medics arrived and clicked it back into place,resulting in the guy letting out a scream with such ferocity he passed out,one of his gonads was trapped in the socket.
Or my personal best,a passenger in a van I had my left arm out of the window holding onto the roof,as we swerved going round a bend to miss an oncoming car,hit the kerb,the van flipped over onto it`s roof,skidded across the road,coming to rest after hitting a garden wall.
Some guys came and raised the van and put some bricks under the roof,which released my hand,which now had become " degloved " leaving 2 of my fingers being attached to my hand by skin only.
Now the painful bit,I was being prepared for theatre,I just had my pre-med and was getting ready for the local aneasthetic,which is an injection called a block,in your armpit and very deep,to nullify your arms nervous system.
To see if this injection worked is a quick, move fingers up and down test,I couldn`t (at this time the staff didn`t know i`d damaged my radial tendon nerve, so I had no control over my fingers),the block had not worked and I went on to suffer the worst 8 hours of my life as I felt everything,during the operation,rendered to a way beyond drugged senseless state caused by the pre=med I couldn`t even talk let alone tell the staff about it.
It still sends shudders down my spine now,just thinking about it.
