For anyone who is playing the game Sepraku posted this in the RTS section.

Ive started a Hamachi network:

Hamachi is probably the best way to meet up and start games as the in-game browser is woeful.

If you haven't bought the game, one demo user per server can join in a game with 5 other payed users.

I had my first 6 player diplomacy game as Russia, trying to keep Africa and Asia from triple crossing me was micro-management in its self.

I just had a game, great fun even if I did get butchered Come join us tomorrow night for some 8 way action of the nuclear kind.

I was trying to play Defcon last night and I very nearly went and asked for my money back to be honest. The tutorial wouldn't start at all, I couldn't join games or start one of my own. I tried finding a manual and eventually tracked one down on the forums only to find out it was pretty useless. After over an hour of trying I joined a game with no clue as to what I was doing. I did some random stuff which seemed to work until I got yelled at by some guy who was pissed cos I hadn't allied with him at the start of the game. I told him I had no clue wtf I was doing and that this was my first game and proceeded to get flamed for 'not being part of the defcon community'...

So I guess I'll try again tomorrow and see if the game is actually worth space on my hard drive after all.

tutorial worked fine for me... I have to say though its not my sort of game too slow :/

Ignore pricks like that bud, you get arseholes in every game and sadly you got one on your first go. I am a complete newb at the game myself so I had to learn from playing the game against the AI but once you get to grips with it the game is very simple to play. Come join us tomorrow night on the FH private server, you will be made most welcome and if you need any advice just ask here on in the thread I posted a link to earlier.
