Flirtatious lament

Throw away the key. Door already locked.
You poor open vessel. But lust is not enough.

So when looking, searching. Scouring through a small key-holed window.
The picture opens a blind window.

It is misty here in this room, this...open space.
The walk through the graveyard of old loved faces.
The shrill of voices hurts my ears.

My crimes left like rotting flesh on the floor.
A reminder of abandonment that went unpunished.
As leaves rush up with the wind around my face.

I went looking for you there as I could remember your smell.
Stroking your stone was like opening a river gate to flood it all back.

Paradox gave birth to a tear and a smile as I etched the words of your name,
And a piece of me slipped down into that spot where you lay.
