Oh fek that is horrific, he must have been a bad mental state to have done something so extreme.

Rest in peace.

Bah I thought this would be about the band.

There has gotta be better ways of killing yourself than that :|

I think that anything after "kill yourself" is a moot mental state.

It's not like there's degrees of death :D

I heard of such a case already. I think it was a pathologist who talked of the strangest cases he ever had. (ever had? had ever had?)

Remember the strange deaths of four Marconi scientist years ago. They were all working on some secrete Sonar developement. One jumped off the Clifton bridge in Bristol, another drove his car filled with petrol cans into a brick walland another tied a rope around a tree and his neck athen drove off, can't remember the last one. It was blammed on Russian KGB agents who supposedly brainwashed/hynotised them!

Not seen in any papers here yet but everyone in Dubai is talking about 4 Chinese guys under arrest for cannabalism. The victim was young local girl. They were aparently caught because they got poisoned by what they had eaten and ended up in hospital. Presumably they had to have stomachs pumped and doctors realised it was human tissue. Police raided the home and found the body.

Will post links as soon as it is in the papers. Death sentences incomming.

Are you sure? I die a little inside anytime somebody talks about X-Factor, Big Brother or Britain's Got Talent (or whatever the versions are where you are).

I can't die properly because I have the will to stay alive to one day see the makers of these programs suffer in some horrible, horrible way (not by my hand I hasten to add!).

On topic: I don't feel for the cabby, I feel for the person finding the gruesome scene tbh.

So true … That's why I find it so sad you can't really punish people who jump in front of trains or off bridges etc. (would be kinda hard to punish them after it, heh ;) ), because the real victims are the people who are present the moment it happens.

You quickly get desensitised to horrifically dismembered bodies tbh if you're there in a professional capacity.

Still, at least you get a head for it after a while :)

I think Cho is referring to the manner in which he killed himself - if you were going to commit suicide in a rational manner (if that's possible?) i'm sure you could think of a less horrific/public way.

Yeah, the degree is there, but i'm also thinking that anyone who comes up with this kind of thing instead of just hopping infront of a train, must be a bit more "sane".

Afterall, it DOES show ingenuity(?).

Have you seen just how many individual body parts someone gets cut up into when they get hit by several hundred tons of metal moving at 50mph+?

The one train-assisted suicide i've witnessed the guy got torn into so many pieces you couldn't actually tell that he was a human being, let alone a middle-aged man.

There are many less painful ways to die (bear in mind that brain death will not begin to occur for a minimum of 30 seconds, and typically it takes 10+ seconds to lose consciousness from oxygen deprivation to the brain).

Nah after a certain level you get really ill and don't pass out. Probably doble if you know your tolerences and can work out the correct lethal dose.

Not about how gruesome it is(yes i've seen a train accident aftermath), but about how he had to be in some form of mental awareness and be quite clever to come up with such a way to go.

Tie a rope between lamp post and neck, then drive off = ingenious.
Jump infront of a train = Not so much.
