About a grand to O2. The mobile phone FUCKERS.

I was inscured (sp) on a mobile, contract. Then i swapped my bank account which they take the money from, I INFORMED THEM AND GAVE CORRECT DETAILS.

They said no problem, i said can i have inscurence on my mobile PLIZ i will pay the extra, the scouse bitch said yes no problem, thanks for your time.

So, anyway...I 'lost' it in a club, ***** knicked it i bet, theiving twats. And i said i aint paying it til i get a new phone, they said we can't give you a new phone since you aint insured on it.

WADDAFAK suck my balls you're not getting another penny out of me, a stupid cunting mistake at your side. Dont but a dizzy liverpudlian bitch that doesn't know fuck all on the other line and forgot to click the insurance button.

So every time i get a letter which is clearly from O2 my mum sticks ''not at this address'' on it. CY@.

Bailifs can come round, they won't get shit off me since i dont own fuck all haha ***** die

100k+ on mortgage.

But that's not Real debt in the sense that you'd be paying rent if you didn't have it.

Aye and then they didn't introduce the bursaries until 2007 to compensate... Basically 2006 starters were shafted; especially those who don't come from high income families who would've benefitted from the bursaries quite a bit. :(

I basically lost £6000-9000 straight off the bat.

I was gutted - i went to uni the year after they introduced tuition fees for the first time, and changed officially from grants to full loans.

Damnit! (that would have been about £15k less debt right there)

I owed 28K almost 5 years ago. January is the 5th year after my bankruptcy.

A word of advice the CAB have a shortage of properly trained debt advisors you are better off with national debt helpline.

You shoould never have been advised to ignore a debt, but to provide an income and expenditure form to prove what you can afford and make the payments that you can afford regardless of whether they accept it or not. This will prevent a CCJ from ever being issued and therefore bailiffs will never call.

Only exception to this is council tax. PAY IT AND PAY IT FAST!

That's a magistrate's court bailiff that you will be entertaining on that score or worse, a jail term. Only magistrate's bailiffs have the right of entry to your home and to seize and sell your household goods to pay off what you owe via public auction. Else, it's bai bai time and good luck getting your money elsewhere.

Ive been paying off debts accrued through losing a job and struggling to survive for a while now, think the grand total I owe now is about 10k, which isnt bad, national average is higher apparently.

My issue with it is the way this crap is thrown at people to be honest. The amount of pamphlets I get through the door throwing more debt at me if I want it is scary, money no matter my circumstances, unsecured loans etc. I got one the other day and worked out from the example given the APR was 183% ffs. Thats just disgusting.

I have been paying off an outstanding debt for the last 7 years at an agreed rate of £5 per month now its less than 5k :) and should be all clear by about 2084 :) no interest or charges added ever. ;)

One thing i do and have been for a while now is, i do nearly all my spending on cashback credit cards that i pay off in full every month. That way i get a discount on everything i purchase paid back to me once a year. Currently Amex offering 5% cashback on up to the first 4k over up to 3 months is a pretty good deal, then its scaled up to 1.5%. So you could get all your christmas shopping on that and get some money back to spend next christmas :)

Recent remortgage with 107k GBP left. House is worth between 300-400k so not worried. It's also leased which pays the mortgage. I have a shares portfolio which took a hit recently but still worth around 34k GBP. Cash in UAE account about 12k GBP and Offshore account in Guernsey with about 16K GBP.

Only debt in UAE is a car loan for wife's Landcruiser Prado has 14 months left to pay at 3.7k Dirhams per month. So all in all I'm doing OK, mainly due to tax free status and company accomodation/private school/medical/flights home and a very good salary.
