If you had - 1 month to live - would you rather be told of this or not be told?

Do you feel you live life enough to the max each day to not need to know or would you want to know to plan a very good end of your life?

Discuss!

I would want to be told.
So i could liquidate my assets and use any cash i might have laying around. Travel and do all the stuff i feel i want to do if my life is about to end.

I would want to be told most definitely. You could make a go of that last month and do all the things that maybe you wanted to do but decided against as you decided to make your old age to be comfortable by saving.

I voted no, cause why should I want to know? Would just make me uber sad and all people around me would go like: "oh spend some time with ME please, you'll die soon" - "oh, I heard you will die soon"

No single free moment and just a bunch of sad people around you that tell you every second that you're gonna die, no thanks =)

I'd definitely like to know, so I could spend the time I had left with the people who mean the most to me.

I definitely would.

I've lost several people in the last few years, and I feel that I didn't say goodbye to most of them probably, as they died instantly. If I knew I had 1 month to live in, I would do it the other way around so people are prepared.

I wouldn't want to be told now when I was going to die or how it would happen, but if I had only one month to live I would certainly want to know.

dont knock it, at least you dont have to worry about stubbed toes and banged funny bones tbh.

anyway on topic, i'd like.. lol thats wrong i wouldnt like to know but you know what i mean so that i didnt waste any of my time working at chuffing asda when i could be doing something important, there isnt really much i'd insist on doing before i die and i only have my bf so its not like i'd have a long list of rellies to say adios to.

My bf knows how much i love him so im not worried about popping off and doing that "ack bugger i wish i'd said..." thing, i'd like to say toodle pip though and make sure he didnt like spend all his time like that woman out of great expectations, running about in a wedding dress with all spiders and shit in his hair; that'd just be embarrassing.

If i had the choice i'd quite like to nip off and go see certain (rofl wrote cretin 1st time round, thank god for edit!) things, like a huge flock of starlings and sharks and stuff but the main reason i'd like to know when im going to die would be so i can make sure im not doing an elvis, i mean god how embarrassing would that be? you do your hair, wear something suitably tragic yet sexy, put your make up on so you dont end up getting it done by some 98 years old woman at the funeral home who makes you look like pennywise the clown, then after all that you go and die on the bog with a half eaten deepfried peanut butter and banana sanger in your cold dead claw.

Pfft!

I'd want to know.

I try to live life to the full but even so, suddenly having the time limit defined like that would make a big difference. I'd want to make plans. I dont think I'd tell many people, but I'd want to know.

I'd make sure I had my own funeral arranged - so my loved ones didnt have to go through the heart ache of arranging it.

The thing that I think about is that everyone already has a certain amount of time. It might be longer than a month, but it's still a "time limit" of sorts - death being the only certainty in life. To me suddenly knowing exactly how long I have left would give me a chance to do things to sort myself out.

Being able to say "goodbye" to people would be a good thing I think, even if it wouldnt be a happy and enjoyable thing to have to do.

quite hard to back that statement up - birth is also a certainty in life. birth can be defined rather easily (creation of life is another disucssion tho) but death is much harder to define. i still dont think i need my death to remind me to live my life to its fullest tho

when the ulnar nerve is innervated by pain caused by 'smashing your elbow into something', it hurts like mad, but tickles at the same time. because of its proximity to the humerus, it's known as the funny bone.

edit: yes i would like to know when i was going to die. i would rather that than just not wake up, as i could go and tell everyone what i'd always wanted to say but didn't have the guts to, and spend a lot of money i don't have then die.

Would definitely want to know. Would need time to max out Credit Cards, go on holiday. Also take out extra life insurance so my kid would have an easy life.
