So, I've just finished watching the first half of Grindhouse, the proclaimed Death Proof... Okay... Going to stick in some spoilers, for spoiler reasons.

Good bits:

- WTB that lap dance IRL! :(
- I loved the 4 way death scene in the first car chase, what a way to show each of them dieing
- The end car chase scene was pretty good actually. Looks like it wasn't totally death proof ;)
- Once again, great monologes from the characters. Reason I like most Tarantino movies.
- The "Twisted Nerve" call, which is now my ringtone. Which WILL piss people off.

Bad bits:

- 1 hour+ of talking, maybe 30 minutes of action.
- Didn't stick to the story line really, though it was clear he was after model type people from the start.
- Didn't find out what happened to their 4th mate at the end o_O

Talking just on the Tarantino part of the movie (Rods was Planet Terror) it wasn't his best work, but it WILL be something I'll actually be buying on the DvDs. The reasons I posted (good ones) are the reasons I'll be buying it. I can deal with the rest, and I could watch it a few times with friends and STILL enjoy the movie..

Cinematics: 9/10 - I loved certain bits
Story Line: 6/10 - Could of been better, but was alright.
Soundtrack: 6/10 - Even though I already have it, it's okay. Desperado's was better XD

Bring on Planet Terror!

*Expecting people who hate the directors to flame the movie regardless, even though there were really good parts*

Planet terror really was so so much better. Agree, way too much talking in deathproof and just the right amount of insanity in planet terror :) Had me absolutely creased up, most the way through :)

Death Proof was a yawn-a-thon... even the lap dancing scene was boring. All the film was about was some stunt guy in a car who likes to kill models by driving his car into them really fast, oh and birds smoking weed.
