hehe I actually had a screenshot not once but TWICE of players using screenshot jumping to cheat. Once it was a Kobbie hunter who used SS jumping to get on top of whats now called Drakon's Tower in emain bowl. This I sent and reported to GOA.
Another time I had a few SS of an unnamed Albion scout using screenshot jumping to avoid getting hit (giving the target is too far away to hit even when your standing next to them and stuck)
both were reported by me to GOA, recieved a reply saying they would "investigate" this and then..... nothing... even months later they haven't told me if they have cleared the player or not. I mean if they concluded that the player was cheating they should have banned or temp banned or whatever, if not they should have told me, ya we investigated ur screenshots and the player isn't cheating... so in my experience and that of many others I have spoken to reporting to GOA does fuck all.

Well, from what i've seen and heard I tilt towards the side that believes that Alpha has enganged in foul play, though I'm not 100% sure of it. And yes I speculate about it here. As for not posting the name of my friend who told me this information. The fact is that this guy told me this stuff in confidence, and while I don't think he would mind me posting the info I do think he would mind me posting his name and I'm not about to betray a friend.
So the "double standard" you claim doesn't really apply. Alpha hasn't taken me into his confidence etc. and there are in fact lots of ppl besides myself who have questioned his integerity. I'm sure there are pleanty who defend him as well. But I'm not saying that he 100% cheats or not. I'm just saying that I've heard he does, and I wouldn't be surprised if he did, but its up to people to make up their own minds, and if people based on whatever they have to go on agree with me then thats their right to do so.

You don't have to agree with my speculations, but that doesn't mean that I'm doing wrong by speculating. I'm not saying its a 100% fact, and I'm not "banning" alpha from the boards or deleting his posts using my powers am I ?

Tranquil - the truth is that I'm TRYING to be open and give alpha the benefit of the doubt, even though every instinct, ingame experience and chat with friends about him I've had leads me to believe that he does infact engage in foul play.
Ofc I have no proof, because I don't have access to his PC, but that doesn't mean he doesn't cheat and you will say that that doesn't mean he does which is also true... HENCE... the S P E C U L A T I O N
Also most ppl who think he cheats don't do so because of the fact that he is high RR soloer, but more so because of personal experiences and what people claim to know.
However, since u mentioned it, lets look at an analogy.
A lot of people used to say that Albs suck and have no skill, thats why they got owned in 1fg vs 1fg fights. An intersting reply was made to this statement.... so all the people who play ALB are crap newbs who are idiots and all the people who play hib/mid are descendents of Sun Tzu himself.
Now the analogy....

Gah, I'm weak. I pwomise I'll go to bed after this one.
Very skillfull players, lots and lots of ingame playtime which gives lots and lots of experience combined with being quite early with buffbots and high(er) RR ARE more rare. They get the upper hand from the start.
About Albion being noobs/whatever. The flaw with that comparison to alpha is that Albion vs hib/mid WAS slightly underbalanced(hence the patchlove). Minstrels aren't unbalanced between themselves. That means alot of average and a very selected few in the top end.
I'm not quite sure if I got your analogy though, my eyelids are making scratchmarks on my desk. So I think I'll go get some sleep and see if I was way off tomorrow.

All i can say is, it is impressive work to get to 9L8 which i think his current Realm Rank is.
And i also must say it is VERY VERY suspicious at times how he evades getting caught in his accts of grey ganking.
in uppland.
I am one of those who tries to sniff him out when he is in uppland ganking.
There is one area he has a favourite spot, 2 ppl was there "grey" i would say lvl27 or so.
I was there, guarded them with 36+13stealth (+11+RR) for an hour almost, no sign he killed here and there meanwhile though.
So i figured well he prolly thought these were to low or something so i went on and went to the fensalir-dodens gruva, hill on road area where he also like to camp, after having left these poor greys and reached Xroads, they were killed by Alpha.
well a fluke i thought.
but the thing is the last week or so he never aproached the ppl i guarded.
He is good and have every RA a guy can dream about, but he is too dodgy imo.
Somehow he manages to pick the ones absolutely alone, the ones with no stealthers around etc.
it could be skil´l... then again it can be something else.
And as reply to the original post.
YES, Alpha was caught on a LAN with odins eye, atleast that was what was said on IRC at the time of the LAN, ppl laughed hilariously at it then, and a post was made exposing him.

If you would have taken your time looking into Odin's Eye and such cheat tools, you would know that stealthers do not show on it. Only unstealthed players are show to to it, as stealth is controlled server sided, and Odin's Eye and such intercept the data stream given to you by the server (not 100%, but that is what I made out of it). So you cannot see a stealther.
I'm very sure that if Alpha had been caught using Odin's Eye at some LAN event, there would have been given a bit more publicity to it. I have never ever heard of it.
Alpha has also never given strange info via /gu or /as. Never given numbers, movements, etc while roaming Gorge or Uppland. Some people are just good with their class, people that will be beter. Alpha is playing less as he is more busy nowadays with real life stuff, but he still plays a little.
He just knows how to max his class abilities, RA's, and bounty potions.
Much and much more important.

If you report something like that to goa, they do not say if it was a true or a false. I have reported some players and yes, some of them got banned, although I did not get a reply saying that he got banned. Hell, even if your account get's hacked or smth, they restore, without telling who did it while they know who it was....

Actually there was a screenshot a while ago showing Alpha's shared dir with the radar prog but obviously its piss easy to fake etc etc so this might be what Vengeful heard about and presumed the guy who told him believed it wasnt a fake ;/ (make your own conclusions!)

I am now more certain than ever that this guy is using a radar, or whatever it is that makes him detect people in weird locations. And don't give me the "He is a minstrel, he runs around a lot" crap, cos you know it aint true.
He walks stealthed almost all the time when solo, cos he fears the sb zergs. Yet he manages to somehow detect people which are hidden in vegetation, trees, after trees, choose your pick.

Time to end some speculation...i rarely post/read the crap thats written here, but ive had this thread drawn to my attention.
Firstly the pic...Yes it was a pic taken from my SHARED folder on my computer...a folder that can be WRITTEN too and files taken from, for some reason unknown to me some morons placed the folder in there, took a screenshot and plastered it and the address over irc.
Secondly look at the pic, and the address line in the config file...points to a shrouded isles directory...note that this was all done BEFORE we even had shrouded isles, and is in fact the path to US shrouded isles...not ours...
And lastly, think about it, why would someone just "happen" to be snooping in my shared folder directory, and amazingly enough, they "find" an illegal program in there....smells worse than Aussies underpants......
