Dear Alpha,

I had a bit of respect left until now. But killing somebody who goes ld is a bit lame, isn't it?

A few minutes waiting to end the duel would have been too much?

I fear you would kill a few children and some grandmas if they carried rp's, no?

For at least 20 seconds after you lose control of the character it will continue to attack, stick, face etc.

on the topic of alpha .... I was told he was caught with Odin's Eye on his PC, how true /false is this?

if its true, then he doesn't really deserve any respect, using a cheat to get to r10. (or R9 or whatever he is atm)

And if he sold his charecter(after cheating), than the person who bought it doesn't really deserve much respect either imo, playing with the advantages of having RR10 (or R9 or whatever he is atm), yet it was achieved by cheating?


although i guess u can't blame the poor guy who shelled out his money if he didn't know that alpha cheated or not.. which btw I'm still looking for confirmation/denouncing of..

arnor - actually I was told by someone that they saw it, and were there when it happened, just wondering what other ppl on the forums think

Imo it was dodgy how dextrously Alpha always avoided FGs yet managed to home in on the soloers.

Another intersting fact is that while players have been caught and banned in the US for using Odin's Eye, and there is a clear proceedure Mythic have outlined for doing this.

Not a single player that I know of has been caught and banned by GOA.... does this mean that no one on the EU servers uses the cheat?

On the contrary I think everyone knows that GOA don't do shit about it and are too crap to be bothered investigating it, hence it leads to reason that probably a lot more people than we think are using it to gain an unfair advantage

Tranquil - I could post the name of the player that told me this but I won't cause then he will just get flamed and pestered etc etc. Not even sure if he reads these forum's since he told me this in game.

As for Alpha's reputation, well I didn't say that he cheated, merely that I had heard of it and wanted confirmation or denying. If people want to think that alpha cheats based on that, then I submit that they already thought so.

besides there have already been countless speculations on the issue,
I'm just asking if there are anymore "witnesses"?

Even by implying that he cheats and saying that YOU think you have a reliable source you are making assumptions that can only be harmful. If you want confirmation or denying, report him to rightnow and look at the answer you get. THAT'S a confirmed answer, not some random answer here. You obviously suspect him to cheat and will have doubts no matter what answer you get here. There are NO facts based around an answer from players.

You didn't say that he cheated, you implyed that you heard someone that knew for sure say so.<cough> It gives a skewed picture of the situation because people who knows nothing about it will take that into account. That's not a good start is it?

To say that people cheats without any factual evidence puts you in a very bad perspective aswell. Use rightnow if you feel something isn't right, if you have no experience about it how can you even start a discussion about it? Heh.

think Alpha has spent MORE time in RvR than anyone of us


He is a mincer = he sees a group...run other direction at sprintspeed and stealth = group that saw him for 0.5 sec will go to the point they think he was last seen (the time they get there he's out of range of course)...moving passed the group and run along is own little way


now he is RR9 or RR10...fairly good stealth and almost all RA's someone would ever want...

this vs some RR5....most non rogue classes etc...


And since he's almost never grouped... he can go and do what he want without having to wait for the other person(s) in his group...and move faster to the place he wants...


Alpha is not uber...cause when he is in combat vs someone...and is spotted...he wont kill 8 mid/hibs
Think he's just a very patient player...knows how most others play RvR (we all have some favorite spots)...and will only attack soloers..if he is sure he won't get caught by inc groups doing it ( = having patience)

Cheat or not? don't think so...unless someone has "real" proof of it...and if he/she hasen't...stop these stupid accusations cause someone got "owned" again

firstly... reporting to right now is pointless, as GOA don't even try to catch users of Odin's Eye. Proof lies in the fact that none have been caught by them to date...

secondly, sure arnor u could say that, but its up to people what they want to believe.

Thirdly, yes I have had someone who I consider reliable say this to me, and quite frankly I wouldn't be surprised if it were true. Nevertheless I'm not stating that it is a fact, if it was there would be no need to dispute/discuss it on the forums.

first: how do you know they havent banned cheaters? is it maybe because you havent been banned?

second: my point exactly

third: even if he is considered reliable, what do you know about how impartial he is? what if he just had been chain-ganked by alpha 6times in a row etc. I've heard guildies complain about alpha&radar, but most ppl follow a certain pattern without knowing it themselves. I could show you places where I guarantee you run into LA/NP/RG/whatever, just because ive played a bit with/against them and make a point of noticing this

no, but I know of players who have admitted to using Odin's eye and they haven't been banned. Also mythic have posted about how they check for and ban Odin's Eye cheaters and GOA haven't done anything similar.

As for me using it.. .well if to be honest I'd be happy enough just having a buffbot (if I could afford 2 pcs). And if i am using it i must really relaly suck to do as badly in RvR as I do ... I mean.. I would have to suck more than envenom or mageling.. or General Outlaw ;P

Im using odins eye, and ive gotten banned, there falsified your entire statement with a flick of a wrist so to say

firstly: I want to know how you can be so sure about that aswell.

thirdly: You wouldn't be surprised about that because you know that person better than you know Alpha, you are biased. And you _have_ to dispute it even though you know posting this among the players won't lead to anything? What other effect than smearing Alpha's reputation can that create?

Ok so your not willing to post the name of the player who told you about this for fear of him being flamed and pestered etc but your quite happy to post Alphas name on here instead so he can be flamed and pestered ?

If you have valid reason to think someone cheats, report them on rightnow so GOA can investigate, they do have ways of keeping track of players they suspect to be exploiting, but don't point fingers on BW till you have some decent evidence, no one will thankyou for it.
