Actually I am going to speak to the moderators about having a refresh, ie see who is active where on the forums and then possibly ask for new blood to help moderate.

I would imagine the ignore list is relatively small compared to the rest of the DB. I've run private instances of VB in the past and it can deal with a pretty impressive amount of traffic and a pretty big DB on a reasonable server. I can't think of a better forum script from that point of view.
