Voted De Niro because I think he's a far more rounded and versatile actor; I like Pacino, but I feel that he basically plays the same character over and over. Al Pacino is always Al Pacino; Robert de Niro can be anyone.

Al Pacino is always Al Pacino and doesn't try to be anyone else while Robert de Niro is Robert de Niro and fails horribly by trying to be something else, imo "Anylyze this" and de Niro's attempt to act crying made me feel sorry for him The best role ever by de Niro was in Jackie Brown in which he didn't talk all that much

Like them both. Tough choice. De Niro was awesome as "Jimmy the Gent" in Goodfellas, yet Pacino was abso fucking lutely amazing as Tony Montana. Flipped a coin and voted for Pacino.

Raging bull and taxi driver show how better de niro is as an actor. Pacino is huge and super cool but i think De Niro is more versatile.
The list of movies this guys have been on are almost all of them movies to see and belong to my must to see.

PS: De Niro also played the devil on Angel heart, fucking great movie. (ref to someone that said only pacino played devils role earlier on the thread).

Heat truly was awesome. I prefer Pacino but watching De Niro laughing his arse off during Gervaise's Globes grilling impressed me as he clearly doesn't give a f*ck what people think of him. And of course his Saturday Night Live sketch delivered deadpan:

That part of the show was good but if you watch the whole SNL episode I didn't think he was very good. Too stiff and always obviously reading off the teleprompters.
