Great to see them both together acting in Heat. Both were good, but Pacino stole the show imo

After those Meet the parents and Meet the Fockers De Niro turned into crapers, Pacino wins by a longshot

I don't really know what to say here, I like them both and I think they're both amazing actors.

But I think I'll go for Al Pacino :-s

Has to be Al Pacino,

Godfather
Scarface
Carlito's Way
The Devils Advocate
Donnie Brasco
The Recruit

All quality films :D but I do like Robert De Niro for Goodfellas / Showtime / Analyze This - which shows he can do all kinds of film roles and not get pegged into 1 set of films...

Paccino is the one of my favourite bad guy actors! He looks like he's genuinly evil.. Just look at him! He's played the devil himself!

Hmmm I think De Niro in Awakenings is still one of the best bits of acting I have seen tbh... but Pacino in Scent of a Woman is equally brilliant..

I have just sat here trying to decide which of them is better and though maybe just maybe De Niro edges it, I cant decide for sure as they are both pure class.

I know what you mean. If you look at the lists of movies I posted, De Niro has been in bigger movies. Perhaps De Niro is such a good actor that he makes acting look easy. Whereas Pacino is just super-cool. Its a really hard one to call. I prefer Pacino, but I think De Niro is more successful. If that makes sense.

Afraid not. HAven't really gotten into the new era gangter film thing.

Sure i've seen some sopranos now and then, but that's about it. Unless you count analyse this.

Have to check if i can find the dvd's from a friend and brush up on my modern gangsta.

I liked the 40's more :D

dont make me vote :( donny brasco is an all time favorite movie, but a deniro/pesci (+ scorsese) combo is one hell of a killer tbh. great fucking actors imo. bah, love them both, maybe just pacino a tiny itty witty bit more.

I dont think you just need to like gangster films, the Godfather and Goodfella's are worth watching just as an examples of well directed, brilliantly cast and superbly acted movies.

Really, really tough choice to choose between Pacino and De Niro, so I wont, so ner.

Voted De Niro because I think he's a far more rounded and versatile actor; I like Pacino, but I feel that he basically plays the same character over and over. Al Pacino is always Al Pacino; Robert de Niro can be anyone.
