Although I'm rather tired of vampire stuff, Daybreakers looks fun. Legion looks a good popcorn muncher too.

I seem to recall that the film went down well with the gruesome duo on last Friday's R5Live Mayo slot.

Wow....i'm surprised. I waas expecting this community to trash, smash and rip apart Daybreakers before it even showed :D

Pleasant surprise mind you, means you're not all jaded old artsy cock-up-arses :p

Like the look of Legion. Anything that has demented murderous grandmas in gets my vote.

She looks suspiciously like the old lady at the end of the Tribute video who cackles dementedly, just shows the D knows

I thought is was a cracking film, even with the few plot holes unanswered and a very abrupt ending. Been to see it twice already, and possibly lining up a third, thank fuck for my unlimited card.

Finally got around to seeing this, it was just ok. Absolutely loved the film noir feel and it started well, but it tailed off and the abrupt ending was a bit silly.

Just average.

I've watched Legion and Daybreakers in the last week as well.
They're okay to pass some time, but in no way are they keepers.

Underworld and Constantine are my examples of supernatural films that are worth watching more than once. Underworld did werewolves vs vampires much better than the Twilight films, and Constantine did angels vs demons much better than Legion. Giving Satan the finger while going to Heaven was also the cherry on the top.

I found it a really mixed bag. The opening was awesome, and it looked like it was going to be a really intelligent, dark film.

And then it decided it wanted to be a pun-tastic, blood heavy action film.

And then it kept veering between the two.

Now, I love both styles - just not at the same time. It left me distinctly stranded at meh.

I agree Damini, was it supposed to be True Blood black comedy uber violence, or a dark and smokey Bladerunner-esque approach? It couldn't make it's mind up, missed opportunity.
