So, no more Prison Break for a bit. No more Lost for a bit either.

I recommend:

Day Break

site said:
Did you ever have a day so bad you couldn't wait to get past it? The kind of day nothing goes your way, and everything turns out wrong. What would happen if you couldn't put this day behind you…literally?

Today Detective Brett Hopper will be accused of shooting state attorney Alberto Garza. He will offer his rock solid alibi. He will realize he's been framed. And he will run. Then he will wake up and start the day over again. This time he'll do it differently – and will continue to – until he finds out who's framing him, gets his gang witness to court to testify, and until he saves the lives of his loved ones. Hopper has only one advantage in his favor – he remembers everything he did the "day prior" that didn't work. It's a painful way to learn because he also carries the bruises and battle scars from every mistake-filled day.

Taye Diggs (Kevin Hill) stars in an action-packed, thrilling re-imagining of the Groundhog Day concept from director Rob Bowman (The X-Files, Reign of Fire) and the writer of After the Sunset. Hopper must find the delicate balance between doing what's important and what's right to get through this killer day and move on to tomorrow.

I've been watching a few episodes, and its pretty damn good. Its up to episode 4. Well worth, ahem, viewing from the usual sources :)

Definitely going to ... eh ... "view" this thanks for the tip Tom.

Does make me wonder... when will the US tv channels realize that IP blocking the "official" download options* is making them lose not only money (money talks) but also goodwill and the option to widen their fan base globally.

I guess this isn't possible because then they wouldn't be able to sell their series to foreign tv channels but I guess the next step would be that those foreign tv channels get the option to buy these series right away rather then with a several month/year delay.

*I tried downloading series through official channels several times simply because I want to show my support but Itunes for example does not allow this. And even worse Battlestar Galactica was IPblocking people from outside the US who wanted to watch the "Webisodes"; the ten special Web only episodes they made as a bridge between season two and three.

Hmmm.... heard about this, interesting premise, but Tru Calling has done it previously, and that wasn't very good (despite the obviously fanciable star).

There are some fairly brilliant Jack Bauer 24 style gun battles in the 2nd episode though :) And its beautifully lit, colours look fab.

After scoring ratings more befitting of a cable drama, Day Break appears poised to get the axe just ten episodes short of wrapping up its story line. Day Break initially came in just shy of LOST's numbers and quickly dropped. Last week the show brought in a meager five million viewers, a quarter of which tuned out during the shows second half-hour. The inclusion of thirty second LOST clips seem to have no drawing power to the temporal mystery that stars Taye Diggs. If the show IS cancelled (Day Break fans can cross their fingers) an announcement on the cancellation is expected by the beginning of next week. The show picked to replace it? Nothing short of amazing...

Day Break's bad news could be good news for LOST and SCI-FI fans alike. ABC commissioned the production of "Masters of SciFi" over a year ago and the six part series has pretty much just been waiting for a time slot. A couple of the episodes feature LOST alumni, including Terry O'Quinn (Locke) who stars in the episode "The General Zapped an Angel". Masters was originally set to run January 1st. Only six episodes of Masters of Science Fiction were released so it is unknown if Day Break will be given three episodes to wrap its story before stepping aside for Masters, or if Day Break fans will just have to commiserate with John Doe fans over the woes of mysteries cut short by cancellation.

As Clown has said it has been dropped, Fortunately Bravo have bought the rights to show it in the Uk and the show will be aired starting early next year.

I don't have a VHS. :)

Yes but let's say you "have" :D

That's what i'll tell the police if they come knocking.

"Well you see, my friend in the UK tapes this and i then transfer it on my computer. Mmhm. Completely legal officer." :D
