Dawn of War 2 Crash

Hello there

I recently bought Dawn of War 2 through Steam, seemed to work perfect until i ran the game and i could a fan from my computer (most likely gfx card but not 100% on that) spin up faster, keeping it at a high rate, and then suddenly the entire computer crashed (this happens as soon as i start up the game, i dont even have to be in an actual compain / multiplayer game for this to happen).

my current hardware and software specs are these :

Hardware :
Motherboard : P5Q-EM DO
CPU : Core2Duo 6320
RAM : 4x1 GB Patriot Extreme Memory
GFX : Radeon 4870

Software :
Windows 2008 Server x64
Windows Vista x64

im thinking it might be a setup issue in the bios but im far from sure of that, anyone got any ideas, would really help alot.

aye, all the drivers are the newest, also gfx drivers have tried with some older ones and then updated them to the newest there was, still the same.
