Plus, you are talking complete bollocks in any case.

It wasn't Tommeh who said it Legz0r. He was quoting some fella/critic.

I was just thinking about this after seeing this the other day, and reading the other thread about what would you do if zombies walked the earth, I'm not normally one to point out silly things in movies but why on earth didn't they...

pick up an AK-47 or some other kind of assault rifle when they got to the gun shop, I know if the world had been overrun with zombies and I was in a gun shop I'd be looking for the Uzi's and so on but they just grabbed some handguns and some ammo for the shotgun.

Have to agree wth stimpy
they had enough ammo in that shop to pretty much take out most if not all of the zombies in that car park next to the mall...I know I would have at least tried!

This film has great entertainment value with plenty of black humour. It wont win any oscars though and dont expect moving acting.

Wasnt the tag line "When Hell is full the dead shall walk the Earth" or something like that? not "When Hell is full the dead shall sprint aruond the Earth" ... still, heard good things about it. loved the original and Night/Day as well , hope they remake Day of the Dead as well- the first film to give me nightmares as a child to be honest just for how gruesome it was at the time..
Hope to munch some popcorn through it this weekend.

Just seen it. Really enjoyed it. It's got a cracking start to the film, and it's just an honest, straight up, zombie film, and doesn't try to be more than that. Well worth the trip to the cinema in my opinion.

Cats are the first ones to 'turn' - kill them now and remove the heads. Just to be safe of course!

Isn't everyone tired of the dumbasses that get to survive in horror movies though? Did have some good bits, but all the scenes where you thought, oh god, why are you doing that? ALONE?! :(

And why oh why do they bother to leave the mall? The original was better in that respect, at least they had a reason to leave.

After the credits roll...

They find a camera and start filming themselves blair witch stylee, eventually they run out of water, food and fuel, they manage to find an island though but as they hit land a bunch of zombies coming running down the dock, then the camera falls to the ground the end.

plus (uber spoiler)

Ving Rhames signed on for the sequel, if one happens that is, and he returns in a non-zombie fashion, so likely his character wasn't killed during the scramble back to the boat, so he says in an interview in Empire.

a fucking sequel? Gah that'd be shite tbh, I dont want another zombie horror movie, I want to see them create some cool post-apocalyptic society, and then return to start a zombie extermination action film. But they wont :(

I love the way that all thousands of zombies on the tiny tropical island are all congregated at the landing dock. zzz

How come zombies move faster than humans btw? They really should just outrun them all the time instead of turning to fight n crap :| Dumb bastards.

The original was a good, fun movie. The remake isn't.

It starts of good and you're thinking the zombies will be fast moving viscious things, but at some point even the director forgot if he wanted fast zombies, or slow decaying ones. Some scenes weren't necessary and show amatuer directing/editing. There just wasn't enough zombie killing and gore.

I'd rather watch Gothika again, which is pretty weak too but not this bad.

Does it have the incredibly harsh original beginning with the police scene and the police man who goes off on one, blowing that guys head up completely with a shotgun?

Thats pretty much accurate. Most people who go and see it are reckoned to be attracted by the descriptions of violence and pain depicted in the film.

What he said was that the above statement applies equally to both films, only those who go to see PotC are claiming some kind of 'spiritual enlightenment' as a reason. That, and the fact that its a controversial film, directed by a hollywood superstar.

No spiritual enlightenment..just a bit sick in places and also tedious. How many times do you have to see a guy fall down in sloooo moooo....I do get it, the cross is very very heavy...

Dont see this, buy an Easter egg, you'll get more spiritual enlightenment from that choccy goodness.
