Davve dinged 50! new record?

Blood took 32d played to get to 50, xping is boring boring, and doing it as fast as possible myself.. Bloodied took less than half that time, but then again blood was RR3.

I've been playing for over 6months now, i have various chars, my main is a lvl 45 armsman, i think he's /played is about 25 days or so...

it doesnt bother me either way about people who PL, however i won't congratulate you for reaching lvl 50 in three days, but will congratulate you for reaching lvl 50

for me, i enjoy PvE, RvR, helping team mates lvl etc... and its more about having fun then anything else, I'll reach lvl 50 one day, but im in no rush.. theres still plenty to see and do before that =)

Am I whining about not being Level 50???? NO i am not, what i was commenting on, was that it is NOT POSSIBLE to learn a class in 3 days.

end game is RvR, u dont fight mobs in RvR. better learn how to fight in the frontiers.

Where is the fun in hitting 50 after three days? Did he actually enter combat at all? Did he learn how to best use his skills and abilities to defeat mobs?
Did he respec at 20th to try something different, then respec back again at 40th because it didn't work????

why even bother with respec if u already know ur final spec ? and imo exp = booring (most times), rvr = fun. and if u like rvr more, why make the way as long as possible ? im pretty sure i saw 1 style and some other buttons on his qbar so i think he knows how to fight mobs ;]

Probably not, what he actually probably did was type /stick and then spam /gu for 3 days.

I enjoy this game, i fully expect my /played to hit 25 days before I hit lvl 50 and why????

good for u, thats the whole point isnt it? to enjoy the game. i can't talk for someone else, but im sure davve enjoy this game aswell, and that he prefere rvr infront of mob-bashing

Did you ever lived the times where there weren´t things like "respec" and "realm abilities???????" Back in those days, you made a choice and you sticked with it, how f*cked up it was anyway. Back then, you had to think about your character before you pressed that <train> button. It´s much easier now. "oh arse, I am not l33t enough like this, let´s do a respec!"

so i got it 2 lvl 50 , played it all myself with chanter and shade in party.Got 16 plat also =))
took me 4.5 irl days , guess i wanted to ding 50 fast
dunno whats record but it was really of fun to lvl like this

If pve really meant something in DAOC, you may could have spent more time doing it. But it is now.. monotamy I miss the fun when ppl camped Ellylls for the famous Ellyll Sword, Barrows downstairs in "ant-room" for the Eternal Midnight Plate.. Or, even before that in 1.36, when you camped Hollowmen for the platedrops, Cyclops for the 2handed axe, arawnites, etc etc.. Now pve totally sucks, Quests and DF got better stuff than almost every rare drop out there. And of course SC and Alchemy aint doing it any better. Its all about bg's 20-24, then hitting 50 as fast as possible.. I mean, where's the joy of pve in that? The nostalgia of daoc was back then, what i just described, now its all about lvl50 and RvR/RP's - And of course, that facelifting Epic-armor has been replaced by most of us, to SC'ing dull-looking armor. Same goes with the weapons, where you rarely see a flaming sword due to that crafted items are so much better.

So, this is, imho, how it looks today:

Start class-> play bg's -> exp constantly to lvl50 -> buy crafted armor/weapon and get some diamond-items = DONE!
Now go farm RP's until you roll alt/next class. Thats how DAOC is for me now. Do i like it? Yes, but i miss the pre-nerfed pve'ing and the standards back then. Like, when Emain was full of all kinds of cons and nobody complained - Now, perfection is highest in prior

Lets hope next few patches {which suggest higher stats on uber drops} live up to their promise !!

I won't congratulate davve or tok for the elvelling they are doing here, but grats to the people who powerlevelled them. Thats quite impressive If I'm right that's also 3 days several level 50's gave up to do that too...

And yes, I'm jealous. For over a month, I didn't get one tangler gorup because of all the wiz/thuerg combos going there. I'm sur eI've had over 3 days /played just waiting for groups so far

Assassin is a class where you learn nothing when grouping, in RvR its playstyle is very very diffirent. Playing an assassin in a group, contributes nothing for upcoming RvR - Solo is the way to go then. But thats just pathetic, especially as an assassin class

Damn silly to spend more time then you have to lvling. If you can do it fast you are damn stupid for not doing it. What you mostly learn from grouping in "regular groups" is how stupid people can get. In my opinion get some friends together and use whatever leagal metod there is to reach 50 as fast as possible

I have to disagree with you, there are 2 parts of the game the exping grouping making friends and exploring your char. Then there is the RvR.

I feel sad for people who just zip through to level 50 and miss all the little details in the game. Especially now there are whole new zones and mobs to level on and work out the new AI implemented.

You miss out on most of the game just to run in a zerg in emain so you can get 1 mil + rp and then moan its boring.

Personally I don't RvR that much it is more about community helping the lower lvls exploring the new areas and experimenting with the new classes.

I hope all these ppl who rush to 50 Just to be Uber in RvR disappear when SWG comes.

Tbh not bad.

I played my druid about 4 months to reach lvl 50,i did have many nice experiences,some bad.Just feel bad for some missing them :/

Getting friends,getting know eachother griefing how you never gets groups belongs this game too.not just RvR what is boring :sleeping:

On second thought i have 2 lvl 50 chars,both i got lvl 50 without buffbot/PL/any help(expect on epic). Maybe im mad
