Agreed, but astrophysics doesn't demonstrate those qualities any more than any other subject imo. I would prefer in all circumstances to hire someone with a degree that was relevant to the job.

Precisely. Astrophysics requires a fuckload more work than your average degree (comparable to medicine), yet you don't get a better job as a result. Hence choosing a subject I could revise the night before the exam and still get a 2:2.

1)you are paying for something you don't need(we already have means of identification. and ID cards will be faked too)
2)arguably an infringement upon civil liberties
3)if you have read the news lately, you rmay habve come across the I.T fuck up in the pension sector. > they will fuck it up, they have never gotten a iT project on budget, on time, or in-date. Let alone one of this MASSIVE scale.

Catsby has a degree in quantum physics.

So far it has enable Catsby to get annoyed at most sci-fi shows.

On a side note, Catsby does have a job. He likes to think that the degree helped, but as the person sitting next to Catsby did a degree in History, he is less than convinced.

I can't believe you have a degree in quantum physics

Having a degree usually just signifies you have the ability to learn stuff and work hard etc (if you're not working in your field).

Quantum physics sounds pretty cool though - but wasn't that surpassed by string theory? You could end up in some really funkily strange jobs with quantum physics ... or not ... (but you know how quantum mechanics go) ...

Catsby is sure that Tom will appreciate the news of David 'Cocking' Blunkett's resignation.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/politics/4099581.stm

Catsby would like to thank (and curse) Tom for Catsby's inability to read David's name without inserting the term 'cocking' inbetween. It has made Catsby's attempt at political discourse.. different from what most have come to expect from Catsby.

Thank fuck for that.

I'm convinced the reason hes gone is mainly because of what he said about his cabinet collegues to his biographer. I think that certain people in positions of authority took great offence to this, and basically cashed in their chips (the visa applications, the train tickets) to get rid of him.

Whatever the reason, thank fuck hes gone. Maybe we'll get someone who is slightly less authoritarian than cocking Blunkett.

Agree with Tom, his none-too-bright but incredibly arrogant comments made it easy, in the end, for his opponents to remove him. Good riddance, hope he takes his turd fest of an idea of ID cards with him.

Cos you'll never work again
You'll never work again.

Oh and take your ID card with you, would want people to think you were defrauding the government now would we?

Charles Clarke? Hes a cock as well, although not quite as big.

Hes the tit that totally misquoted Prince Charlie for his own political ends.

Whats ironic is that Blunkett probably did a better job than most. His id card schemes along with his other policies will be just implimented by his sucessor. Expect to see him back in government when Blair quits and Brown gets in.
