Errr, that kinda defeats the whole point of DF, no ? The idea is it's an RvR dungeon, kind of. It finally gives a purpose to keep taking, and it also makes the trips you make into DF when the gate is open interesting.

The first few weeks of 1.49 on EU will be "interesting"

Hmmm...after the 12 hour siege of Renaris Saturday through Sunday I can understand some of the "concerns" from certain quarters

No big deal to pop a couple of undefended keeps on enemy turf (especially the 4 in Pennines as it's so under-populated) to give your realm access to DF. I just wonder where this will lead to though...imagine a mad rush of hi-level Albs into DF once they gain control only to find an hour later some callous bastard like me knocking on Excal doors with 5 rams....won't life be fun !!!

Seriously though, it will be interesting to see if "realm loyalty" goes out of the window in the stampede to get into DF once your realm has access. It's hard enough for all realms to put the priority of realm defence before exping/drop-hunting/Emainzerging without DF around. It will sure as hell adds another twist to the game, though

Sigh do I have to explain everything? I mean on gorre ofcource. Not on normal servers. Gorre basic function is to test the patches. Now how can midgard-hibs test DF if Albion has sole access to it for example. They should test the entrance system the first week and then the next week give every realm the fair opportunity to visit DF without boundries.

Nope you stay in the dungeon but may face a influx of enemy as the place turns into a RvR battle inside.

I managed to get a group of 3 lvl 42+, 1 lvl 36 with my lvl 1 acolyte in df gorre. We had gr8 fun, I got 6G and 3 seals, and got whiped out by mobs not far from entrance. Aggro is huge there, a paladin pulling with heal chant on == death

Didn't you read what i have written.(the ppl that still belives this)

They gate is NEVER open to more than 1 realm.

On the two US PVP servers (Andred and Mordred) Darkness Falls is open to all three realms, all the time.

Im sure YOU havnt read what Ceverloc is saying....FOR TEST PURPOSES ONLY, as Gorre is purly a test server it would make sence to open all the portals so that all realms can test the selling of seals etc etc.

Hmmmmm

Well of course that would be nice . BUT, you will then have to alter the patch, bringing the possiblity that you could miss some critical errors. But i know that every realm will have there time on DF, there will be enough keeptaking to make everyone test it

Sigh, do I have to explain everything. Gorres purpose is to test the translated 1.49 operates as it should. They can't go changing the rules on Gorre to be different to how they will be on the live servers, or it wouldn't be much of a test server....no ?

Depends on the testing purpose... If it was the purpose to test all kind of things from DF it could have been far more efficient to open up for all realms instead of one...

Uh, it will be fun.

Think about it, Alb or whoever takes enough keeps and gets in. Mad rush for DF, then bang someone else takes keeps and our portal closes and in come some other realm.

Everyone is gonna want to see it so there won't be organised keep defence (I hope) so everyone can see DF.

Oh, and DIE, a lot.

Depends on the testing purpose... If it was the purpose to test all kind of things from DF it could have been far more efficient to open up for all realms instead of one...

What else do you want to test. I mean 1.49= Darkness Falls. Not testing DF in 1.49 is like building a car without testing the engine.

Same effect can be got by GMs transporting people into DF...

They might do that kind of thing to help with the testing?

Not that going to DF is going to concern me, from what i have seen and read it is a lvl45+ place, but i reckon it will make rvr alot more accesible even for lower players, i mean if all the 45+ players are in DF then the 35+ are going to be needed more than ever to help with Keep control and relic raids, i can only see DF making a positive mark on DAOC, more raids and large scale battles is what it is all about.

When the patch hits, the dungeon will be closed to all realms, and will remain so until someone has a claimed a keep.

That is only if all realms have the same number of keeps. If one realm has more keeps than the other two then their Darkness Falls gateway will be open when the server comes up, and as far as I know GOA has not said anything about there being a keep reset planned for this patch.
