Just interested on how any student gamers are juggling uni with DAoC... did uni kill your DAoC addiction? (Or vice versa? :p) I'm guessing uni encourages the more casual approach to DAoC at least...

LOL, you get loads of free time at Uni, during my final year I only did 2 1/2 days a week, Summer hols started 2-3 weeks after easter, pitty it was over 5 years ago now.

Now juggling DAoC with a full time career that another story, wasn't so bad when i worked on a computer games magazine and the boss was a DAoC addic (ah those 2 hour day meetings about DAoC were fun) , but know i'm lucky if i find 30min a day to read the FH boards.

Yup, I've prbably f*cked up my degree by playing too much daoc :)

Although it probably doesn't help that I'm no good at geology ;)

Exams starting on Monday ... Have gone cold turkey from the game but cant stop reading the forums. I am seriously considering doing my final year project on MMORPG's and their addictive nature (Im studying psychology).

I cant w8 for the summer holdiays when I get to play as much as I want. :)

I almost failed one of my Maths exams because I grinded from 49.5 to 50, the night before, for my necro. Never again. :twak:

Starting Uni in either September or February...

I've already decided I'm not going to let myself play nearly as much whilst I'm there as I do now.

Planned to get 50 NS/Hero/BB by the time I leave so no need to do marathon 4Fins XP sessions and to have them all ToA'd so no need to stay for hours on raids.

I know I won't stop playing while I'm there though, I'm far too addicted so I decided this is the next best thing.

If I only need to RvR when I log in I'm hoping it'll take up less of my time.

Oh well.. while other people blame ToA, hibs, mids, Mythic, GoA, RightNow, FH, idiots, roleplayers, casual players, powergamers for ruining the game and thus leaving DAoC (usually for only 3 months), I'm just kind of taking a vacation until I feel like playing again.

So, yeah, I tend to mess up 3 months of my study, stop playing (or at least play a lot less) for 2/3 months and fix the mess-up.

It kind of works.

And yeah, I kind of spent my studiefinanciering on DAoC (well.. that's not entirely true, I spend MOST of it on books).
