Games DAoC ... where are my chars?!

Ok so.. I reactivated my account today. Went through the hassle with the password and the patcher and what not. Logged on to Excalibur and... all slots empty (couldn´t even create a char). There was no server Dyvet, so I logged on to Ywain X and could create a char there. However, I could not /level nor did I get my /elder status.
Any ideas where my chars are gone?

Did you put _eu after your username when loggin in?

that´s another crazy thing...
I had two "master accounts" attached to my email address. The first one was my very first, original account (this was without the _EUR suffix), the second one was apparently my buffbot account, which HAD the _EUR suffix. I was able to log into my first account, but unable to log into my buffbot account (on the website that is).

and /level has been removed.

hm... it said "you need a lvl 50 char on your account to use that command".

weird weird...

how long ago did you last use the char's Thorwyn? I havn't played since 2006. Will they still be there? :eek:

You may have to phone them to get it sorted. If you do, make sure to do it through Skype as its cheaper.

/level was removed. Don't worry about the message regarding level 50 toons.

I stopped playing DAoC in 2005 (iirc), but came back for Labyrinth (for a week) and the free month when they decided to close the servers in May or something.

Although I see that this server transfer stuff is a huge process for EA; I also think that they didn´t make it transparent enough.

Thor, they are here with me at HQ...they said they were lonely and neglected in cyberspace so turned up on my doorstep a couple of weeks ago and have been living in my secret bathroom ever since.

I shall ask them if they wish to return to you but if they don't, well there's not a lot I can do really, they like it here, the G/Pigs get on well with them, tbh it's out of my hands.

Ez?! What the...

Tell them I never liked them anyways! I´m better off without them now! Starting from lvl 1, playing the lovely tutorial and experiencing the ... um ... thrill of taskdungeons. And of course: enjoy the hospitality of US players.

me: say /advice What´s the command to display 3 quickbars again?

hehe sounds wonderful Oo the toons say hi and ask if you'd like to come for a visit, I think they are seeing the error of their ways now...

Ok.. here´s an update on this matter...

I wrote an email to Mythic customer service, explainig my problems and asking them for a solution. A day later, they replied and said that things like this need to be resolved via ingame /appeal.

So I logged on to Ywain and started an /appeal. Three (!) days later, a GM messaged me, asking me to describe my problem again, which I did. He said that technically, my old account is no longer on this account (despite the account name) and that I should try "a _EU or _EUR" after the original login name. I told him that I already tried that and that it doesn´t work. Then he said that he basically couln´t help me. I said "thanks" and he said
"Thank you for playing Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning! Happy Hunting!"
I said "I´m playing DAoC, but nevermind.

So I dropped EA another email, explaining my problem (yet) again. This time, they replied with

"Due to the sensitive nature of your request, you will need to contact our phone support team at 650-628-1001. For account verification, you will need to provide the secret word you created when you created the account, over the phone."

:lol:

I told them that even if I payed them a visit in person, I wouldn´t be able to give them more information than I already had, because THIS IS A EUROPEAN account and we DID NOT have "secret words" over here. I gave them my account name, my email address and I can also provide them with all CD keys, my CC number and my street address.

Either their support is not reading properly, or they´re not interested in giving support to their customers.

Yeah they always want you to do it over the phone. just e-mail back and tell them you want them to call you, costs you nothing then

and it's not the first time I've seen the Warhammer line in daoc ^^
