At least the daoc pointy headed people showed up, even if one of them did keep going on about MR15 as if it was the thing to have

NO general people have showed up at all, so basically the first match was 4 KEA members and Jup (who is a KEA member but Im sure he'll admit is very much a sub ) against on the other team 2 KEA members plus 4 DAOC people.

We won, but I would have been amazed if we hadnt, so it wasnt really fair and wasnt really General vs DAOC anyway, so it was a load of balls.

Serves me right really, I wasnt gonig to bother with it but thought I would becuase we didnt have a match for 9pm I wont bother again. Hats off to you DAOC types tbh.

Best voice - Gunner (some strange accent that gave me wood)
Worst player - Trem (I am really drunk and its no excuse but I really did have an off night).
Biggest hider - Tilda (bloody cow shot me loads with his sneakiness).

I really did sort of enjoy it but it was also 6 vs 5 for both matches but that is mainly because we only have a 12 man server (1 slot is taken up by the Source TV).

TBH mate, I came ready to play, but then I didn't even get asked if I wanted to play. KEA named themselves as one team, and all the pointys were on the other. Fair enough, it is your server, but we had said 9 for this game and no one was even given much time to show up.

MR15 is a rush idea without time for proper tactics, and yes is favoured by a lot of new CSS players but its not the original way of doing it and its nowhere as good as MR12. We have been playing as a clan on ED for some 5 or 6 years, longer than any of the admins iirc, we do know the difference.

3 minutes is excessive.

Next time anyway hopefully we can sort a bigger server or something

We joined ED on 1.3 CS and been there ever since although it doesn't say so on our clan page on there

From what I could tell it was KEA vs the pointys because people weren't there on time so we had to make a team up. This sort of thing needs a 20 man server for next time. I was playing on a public when I got asked to come into Vent for the match because we only had 4 players, Jup then arrived and I dropped so he could play.

Sorry to those who missed out but our server is what it is and it suits our needs.

Barrysworld even had MR12-only servers I remember, no one had heard of MR15 when we started playing matches on CS.

Im sure you know all this Himse what with you being so good and all, but ED do two match configs for CSS, one for MR12 and one for MR15. The roundtime for MR12 is 3.00 minutes, and the roundtime for MR15 is 1.45. We mostly use MR12, as it allows for more tactics and a freer style of play. Both are used a lot of ED though.

Ill leave it at that because you clearly know more about it than anyone else, including us people who were playing it at the time.

Was at 30,000ft on way to Istanbul.

Hopefully there will be another - ping from my office in Istanbul is less than half than Dubai So next couple of weeks would be great. I could always delay the aircraft we are working so I can have decent ping. I mean what's 80k USD per day compared to a decent ping rate

TBH mate, I came ready to play, but then I didn't even get asked if I wanted to play. KEA named themselves as one team, and all the pointys were on the other. Fair enough, it is your server, but we had said 9 for this game and no one was even given much time to show up.

As far as I can tell it was a bit of a headache for trem who was trying to sort out the teams for the second match, which was made worse by the fact that we had loads of Daoc players turn up and virtually no one from general.

Trem had to try and get people to play for the general side, which meant getting KEA people to step in, once we'd got a team if people then showed up I think it would've been just as unfair for those people from KEA to suddenly be told to get lost to make way for people who turn up 5 minutes before we're supposed to be starting.

That said, had they have been asked, I'm certain no one would've played in your place chet.

IMO next time this is done we need to have people turning up atleast 15 minutes early and being on vent so teams can be orginised.

Trem and Throd did a bloody brilliant job getting things sorted as well as they did really, considering how much they had to sort out with next to no notice.

Sorry for not being there but looks like it would have been more KEA bods there which would make it even more unfair...

At the moment I cant really do 9pm sunday matches...but hoping I will do soon!

Anyway hopefully we can do this again and have more people play!
