DAoC Randomly Locking up

Had some problems with my sound drivers last night so i re-installed them, not sure if they could be the problem or not but today my DAoC has been randomly locking up lasting for 10seconds to 2 minutes before it locks.

Locks havent been when a particular spell was cast or anything i dont think, so im a little baffled really, any suggestions? When it locks the whole comp seems to lock cant alt-tab ctrl-alt-del etc only option is to reset.

sounds a little like an overheat problem tbh.

CPU is running at 34.2 and HDD at 24.8 have a digital thermometer on front of case and never seems to go above 36/25.

well if you had probs with soundcard? would it be a seperate soundcard? ie not onboard sound?

if so you might find it's not quite in its slot properly..had same thing cause all sorts of havoc before many times...

take it out..blow away the dust..and fix it in good n proper. then cross yer fingers.

edit: worth doing the same to the other cards while you are in there too.
