imo, people should learn their passwords, or have them writen down on a piece of paper and keep it in their vollet or something ... don't .. plz don't have it writen in a text document on your desktop called DAoC-password or just plain daoc.doc .. don't !

i agree, i never copy and paste, i rather have em on hardcopy. (paper) then type them, but some people like to have a document and copy and paste.

They dont realise that they can be revealed to others by scripts, plugins on homepages.

So if they surf while playing by following like a link posted on IRC for example.
They might infact be giving away their password.

username can be guessed should they know the persons real name.

this guide however makes it slightly more secure.

The guide overall is excellent, and will shurely help alot of ppl.

Thanks for the links, Herjulf :)

I just switched from Win2k to WinXP which was a HUGE performance boost (even with WinXP default settings). Win2k really crippled my system for a long time, and I never suspected that Win2k was the problem (I upgraded my computer, and got another internet connection, but neither helped at all). I can only encourage everyone who uses Win2k to switch to WinXP if you have performance problems.
