Well on my home broadband connection, I just browse our guild forums, and play DAOC.

My usage for last month was just a little over 1GB

Daoc probably uses about 10mb/hour or so, probably a lot less in fact if you don't use voice coms, FH etc. A 56k is perfectly capable of keeping up, absolutely.

Well, daoc uses 0.5 to 1kb/sec just walking round or idling. The moment u use spells it goes up to 3kb/sec. When u meet zergs it goes up to 5-8kb/sec or more.

So let's say the average is 3kb/sec, then the bandwith usage will be 10.3 mb/hour.

I play over GPRS a lot, uses about 1mb/hr xpin, with just you and a few mobs. goes up to 5mb/hr in busy areas.

Trouble is the GSM network has a good 2 sec lag, so forget any RVR
